Munus — Restaurant in Bardolino

We were a little disappointed. We went there because of the good reviews but although the ambience is great the food is mediocre.

We ordered a started, an slowly boiled egg with truffle. There was a lot of truffle on the dish, I mean a LOT. But the taste of truffle was hardly noticable.

This can only mean they use cheap Chinese truffles. I have tasted Italian truffles many times and you can't even compare it to what we were served.

Without wanting to go in too much details this basically sums up what we experienced for every course. The quality of the food was okay but far from good or great.

The restaurant is very beautiful and cosy and most of the staff is friendly. Prices are also a little lower than some of the better restaurants so maybe this is why some people like...

The restaurant is in a beautiful park. The food is very comprehensive and partly very good - e.g. the mussels were amazing, but the tomatosauce was too little and too soft. Also the carpaccio alla tonno was a little bit disappointing (the little salad is only a decoration) , the Caprese was a good portion but without balsamico (they don't have any) a little bit boring. The spaghetti vongole and the "king" prawns tasted a little bit too fishy. Anyway the pizza was delicious. I hope the service was this bad, because the restaurant opened just a few weeks ago. - We got the main course at the same time we got the first course, we missed one cutlery,... At the end, i think we payed too much for the service and...

Da dove iniziare?? Attira subito l'attenzione questo ristorante perché se trova nel Borgo Bardolino che è uno spettacolo da vedere soprattutto ora che è decorato per le festività natalizie e perché da fuori si vede questo camino con il fuoco vivo che arde. Per me che adoro il camino è stato amore immediato . Subito all'entrata siamo stati accolti dal personale con sorrisi, cordialità e gentilezza! Ci hanno fatto accomodare al piano superiore con il nostro cane da 40kg a cui poi hanno portato una ciotola di acqua fresca. L'ambiente è STUPENDO arredato in modo rustico con moltissimi accessori che richiamano il passato , un museo in un ristorante. Per chi è freddoloso/a come me la temperatura è ottima, bagni puliti con acqua calda per lavarsi le mani. Veniamo al menù: prezzo molto bassi per quel che ci aspettavamo ( solo 11€ per un piatto di polenta, baccalà, pomodorini secchi, uva nera). Il cameriere ci consiglia di prendere il taglierino di salumi perché le porzioni sono abbondanti e mangiando anche la polenta c'era rischio che il tagliere normale sarebbe stato troppo ...ed in effetti aveva ragione. Dopo l'ordine la casa ci offre un "budino" di zucca con olio di olivo all'arancia e noci testate da mangiare con delle focaccine: che delizia!!!! Dopo poco ci arriva: I due piatti di polenta, il taglierino ( 3 tipi di affettati, mozzarella bufala, 2 tipi di formaggio , sottaceti, cipolle caramellate, pane integrale), sul tavolo avevamo anche il cesto di pane. Il tavolo era pieno e non sapevamo da dove iniziare, avrei mangiato tutto tanto era buono ma purtroppo ero stra piena ( il pane integrale l'ho portato a casa, mi hanno dato un contenitore). Insomma se potessi dare 10 stelle lo darei , complimenti al chef e al personale per un servizio impeccabile a 360° , lo consiglio vivamente. 49€ per tutto ciò descritto sopra più acqua, birra e cafè. Sicuramente...
