I stopped here with a group of friends because it was the only place open for having some sandwiches in the morning.
Dear God! I haven't seen such a combination of bad stuff in one place since ages. 1: Waited a lot until somebody came to take the order, even if the place was not crowded and they were aware that we came, because I asked inside if we need to order at the counter or at the table. 2: The waitress couldn't understand ANYTHING from what we ordered, even if we used the names from the menu, we had to point them with the finger on the page, things like caffee doppio or english breakfast which were written like that. She told us "no inglese" so we wanted to help, because some us were speaking italian, but was hard in italian too. 1 sandwich was served after everybody ate, she forgot even if we reminded her we are waiting for it and she understood that we are ordering one more. Bad food: the sandwich was incredibly uneatable, one sticky flat bread/tortilla, with no sauce, with a slice of ultra processed cheese, some bad quality prosciutto cotto and the hard part of iceberg salad leaves. Tasted like wet cardboard. A waste! Couldn't eat such a shitty food. Even a 6 years old is able to make an eadible sandiwch. The english breakfast was poor too: 2 ripped fried eggs, 2 slices of toast, 2 slices of sticky processed cheese for sandwich and some bacon I guess. Horrible! The prices are higher than the quality of the food, service, place or other places in Bari, for no reason, just the location maybe. The tables were dirty, the entire place looked like it needed some serious cleaning, with old dust and built up dirt in the corners (I had time to see everything because I waited so long for my food). The receipt was wrong, as many other people complained.
I am thinking at a positive thing... the coffee, maybe, but much more expensive than in other...
Read morePLEASE AVOID this cafe. I stopped in this cafe only because it was on my way back and I was desperate for a coffee. BIG MISTAKE! Only after I had ordered I read all negative opinions that I can only agree with. I went inside and was welcomed with two staff members with no smile and as a reply where do I order: here or by the table, I was answered: outside! I mean not even: hello! (?) I ordered americano with an extra espresso and got espresso doppio... The only good thing was the sweet cookie that I took for my coffee. I went inside to pay by card, waiter didn't even look at me from his mobile when I said that I would like to pay. Angry lady behind the counter looked at me and said: "Cash!". I said: "No, I would like pay with card" and pointed at a card in my hand. No reaction from the lady, just again: "Cash!".... I payed 8,5âŹ!!!! For a cookie and espresso doppio! Terrible overall experience.... I truly do NOT recommend. Unfortunately this is the worst experience that I have had in Bari so far... Of not ever in all my trips...So unfriendly, unprofessional and definitely...
Read moreThe only bad Caffetteria we went to in Puglia.
First of all, we ordered Caffe Freddos, and it was supposed to be 2.80⏠each with sitting tax included, but they charged us 5⏠each. No explanation given for the wrong price. We thought of refusing to pay but thought that maybe we had misunderstood. The lady was unable to answer to us, so we still donât know why it was almost double price.
She also tried to make us pay with cash although the card machine was right there on, and only when we were finally about to leave she accepted card.
To top it off, the employees were rude, ignored our approaches when we walked in, and our âCaffe Freddosâ did not taste good for us. Funnily enough, it was also the worst coffee we had in Italy (for our tastebuds).
Avoid this place. The city is filled with amazing and honest coffee shops! We didnât read the reviews in advance, but as you now have, just look at the amount of 1...
