Oh dear! We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We went on a Sunday evening and arrived 5 minutes before opening time. 20 minutes later we were allowed entry along with others who had been waiting and had not given up and moved on. Having looked at other comments on Google maps since our visit, this is a common complaint; as was the general unfriendliness of the staff when they realise diners are not Italians. During our meal cutlery and condiments are thrown on the table - salt and pepper was provided without asking and with clear disdain, implying “you’re English, you’ll be wanting this!” The food was generally good, although the bread base on my bruschette starter was burnt and rock-hard. I joked with my partner that it had been prepared especially for British visitors, but having now looked at the experience of others, this may not be far from the truth. It was tasty nonetheless, as was my bufala pizza - and my partner’s fried seafood starter and salad. The restaurant is huge and was packed when we left. Service is fast and efficient. Don’t be put off - just be aware how non-Italians are likely to be treated and look out for deliberately unpleasant service. Make a game of it - I’m sure they’d react enthusiastically to a request for...

This place was a huge surprise after the experience we had in other local places. We were a bit sceptic going to a place off the main streets which was seemingly empty, however, asked if we had reservation. It seemed to be a scam as we had experienced before. Ha! It was not. The outdoor space was already crowded and got even bussier during the night and now we know why. Man, it was delicious. The reason we chose this ristorante was the possibility of getting gluten-free pizza which they offer with an ease. Unlike other italian places. They had no problem with my order. The service was quick, precise and all the staff was more than polite. Smiling all the time, easy-going, willing and very nice. It was a very pleasant surprise :) Back to the food - my GF pizza was very good and I enjoyed every bit of it but more importantly, I have never seen my boyfriend being this stoked by a food. You could literally hear, see and feel his joy while he was eating. So I am pretty sure, this place is where you need to eat. All five...

Pizza was very nice, therefore 1 star added. Unfortunately the rest was an absolute horror. The staff were quite unfriendly as soon as they had noticed that we were not Italians. They didn't bring us the menu for 10 minutes until we asked for one, and the same for ordering our food. Also they only brought only one menu, therefore we had to ask again for another one. After finishing our delicious pizza, we waited another 15 minutes after the first time we asked them to bring us the bill. In total we asked 3 different waiters for the bill in that time. Our empty plates had still not been removed. We then proceeded and went to the reception and asked for the manager, who ignored our request and asked us to pay the bill. We didn't want to make a big deal out of the experience, as the Pizza and the locale really was quite nice. Would not go there again, as there are many places with nice atmospheres and food, however, these are not the only criteria that make a...

Best place we have been in a few days in Bari. Pizza is divine, got a Marinara just to have a taste and it was seriously the best pizza we have had in Italy yet, would have been just as happy if I had paid double considering it was just 5 euros. Tried the Assassina spaghetti dish because it is a traditional local way of cooling spaghetti and it was just as incredible, nice kick of spice and you can add straciatella as well! My new favourite right after a goos carbonara. Highly recommended you check it out, book in advance cause it is worthwhile. Staff was great, food brought in good time and issue on bill was fixed without hesitation. Will visit again anytime I visit Bari again and this place is a good reason I want to visit gladly Bari for a second time. For our last night in Bari, we certainly left with a great taste in our mouths and sad we couldn't visit again soon. Si mangia da Dio!

Great staff, kind and helpful even if you don’t speak the language. The pizzas were REALLY good and we were very happy with them. The spaghetti all’assassina was disappointing. We ate the same dish in other places for the same price (€10) and on top of the portion being much smaller, there was no taste or spicy flavours in it. The caesar salad was not really good either. The chicken was dry and tasteless. We also had an issue with our table being placed right next to the air conditioning. It was so cold we asked to move to another table. They moved us to a table next to the other air conditioning machine. There weren’t many free places in the restaurant so we can’t blame the staff, but why would the management lay tables literally on top of those machines?
