Ristorante Pizzeria Al Raffaello anche GlutenFree — Restaurant in Bari

This evening, my family and I dined at Ristorante Al Raffaello. There were two negatives that I experienced; first, the menu documents the allergens so well that I was blown away, and I wish that the effort the owners and staff put into the menu and catering to those with dietary restrictions was standard practice everywhere. Second, the food was so good and I am saddened that I was not able to try everything on their menu in one night and that I will not be able to eat their food on a regular basis.

Five of us in our party had dietary restrictions, and all of our needs were met, and then some. The enormous number of safe options made choosing what to order a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, and brought us pure joy. I can't state enough how blown away we all were by how good the food was.

Our waitress was wonderful, we all enjoyed the service she provided to us. And how accommodating she was for a bunch of Canadians who spoke a small amount of broken Italian. She was fantastic.

If I could could bring a barrel or two of the house Rosso Primitivo, the food, and the staff back to Canada with me, I would in a heartbeat.

This restaurant is something special, and not a place to miss while in Bari.

The restaurant is great, it was extremely clean. We went on the recommendation of friends and were fascinated, the owner welcomed us, extremely gracious and hospitable. He advised us on the menu when we asked him something. The pizza, which is gluten-free, has a great dough and the pasta, everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. He offered us a wine that was from the region. The message came to us very quickly, there were six of us and all of them almost at once. We were at a time when the restaurant should be resting and not working, but he still received us and fed us with delicious food. This place was our best Italian experience. We came as four Irish friends who had not had the best experiences in other places so far, but the staff here went above and beyond our expectations. They were in disbelief when we ordered pasta, pizza and then dessert per person, but we really wanted to try everything authentic. They continued to apologise for not speaking fluent English, when it should have been us apologising for not speaking fluent Italian! They laughed and joked with us throughout our entire meal and the service was amazing, the waiter even showed me on the map where the nearest ATM was as I had no idea.
