A slightly long review, but worth it to truly describe the place. In short: astonishing. Following other reviews we visited (Wednesday evening, mid October). The front of the restaurant is open to the street and I could see it was very busy. Nonetheless, we were beckoned in for a table that had just become vacant. Two choices on a menu fixe - starters, pizza and a drink, or just the latter two (but which included olives and bruscetta). We chose the latter with white and red wine. Two half carafes arrived with the bruscetta and olives. Then two delicious pizzas; unpretentious but fresh and beautifully prepared. To finish (if we needed it) small sorbets and a digestif. All for 20 Euros. And I tipped. Astonishing. Superb. Value beyond understanding. It's rammed with locals. No surprise. You won't...
Read moreSomething absolutely unique! From outside you barely recognize what special is going on inside. Design brings you back to 70’s (I would appreciate some history of this place, what and who is behind this story), stuff is good organised and even I was there on saturday night in high season, after couple minutes I got a table. There is not reservation system. You have to wait on little walk side infront of the restaurant. Food is clasical apulian and brings you a bit of everything (cheese, salami, olives, bruschetta, sea food, vegetable, pizza). You can choose from menu offering you two options - smaller (8€) and bigger (12€). I had one for 12€ and what I got was absolutely unexpected! I barely eat everything. Absolutely recommend this gastronomical attraction at Bari with touch of...
Read moreI laughed so hard when I saw a guy giving this 1 star because they didn't take reservations or because they didn't have "menu refinement". Hahaha, yeah, if you expect Michelin stars, this is not the place. Here you can eat until you can't walk home. Antipasti are always different, so... it's based on luck, pizza is normal good Italian pizza, and you get a limoncello. The waiters are the best guys ever, they work so hard, so fast, to please everybody and to manage the queue outside... but people still expect so much of them. Give them a break! Long story short, if you want to eat in a good old Italian way, without fancy and artificial things, go there at 7 pm sharp fuori staggione, or even earlier during the season. I didn't regret it and for sure I will come back next time I...
