A Memorable Meal at Osteria Risi.Co – Great Food, Atmosphere & Gluten-Free Friendly
We recently dined at Osteria Risi.Co in Bergamo with a group of Italian friends and family, and the entire experience was exceptional. The restaurant has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for a leisurely dinner filled with conversation and laughter. One of our group was gluten-free, and we were so pleased to find that the menu was accommodating and clearly marked, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the evening without worry.
I ordered the Redècc Risotto, made with Trevisan red chicory, Valcalepio wine, gorgonzola cheese, and speck—it was rich, creamy, and beautifully balanced with just the right touch of bitterness from the chicory and depth from the wine. Absolutely delicious.
We also shared the Tagliere Risi.Co, a generous and beautifully presented board of local cured meats (including Prosciutto Ruliano aged 24 months), cheeses, homemade onion compote, and honey. It was a real celebration of local flavors, and we ended up sharing a bit of everything among us.
The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and you could tell the staff genuinely cared about the quality of both the food and the overall experience. It was a highlight of our trip to Bergamo, and I’d return in a heartbeat.
Highly recommended—especially if you’re looking for a place with excellent regional food and...
Read moreWe eat out often. Tonight we wanted to try a new place. In generale:
Very cold inside the room, maybe it was the AC. But I had to put my coat on.
Veggie Ravioli: taste good but the portion is for a child. 6 Ravioli for 14 Euro is way too expensive. Risotto Milanesa: Dry and undercooked. Need some more love if its going to be worth 23 Euro.
We ordered a desert, 1 cheesecake. It came after 20 minutes or maybe more. It was more yam on the top than cheesecake. Dry, and to hard to masticate. More cheesecake, less decoration is my suggestion.
Over all, the concept is ok. But the prices are way to high for the weak service, and quality of food delivered.
(In our bill it says 12 euro for colpa x3... we have no idea what we were...
Read moreChose this place for dinner because of good reviews. The food was average and only the polenta with porcini mushrooms was worth its price. The chicken house dish that is cooked for many hours at low temperature (according to menu) tasted like a normal chicken with a few salad blades and fried potato. The vegetarian tagliatelle was average. The waiters were polite but are only two and had plenty to do, so had to wait 20 minutes to be able to order a second glass of wine that I wanted to enjoy while eating. Yet they take 3€/person for service. No salt, pepper and olive oil at the tables. Wine was great and reasonable priced. Summary it is good but you don't get value for what you pay. If you go there choose the...
