A Hollow Echo of Vietnam – More 'Goodbye' Than 'Good Morning'"
I visited Good Morning Vietnam with high hopes, but what I got was a slap in the face to Vietnamese cuisine. The prawns with tamarind, the pho, and the beef noodles — each dish felt like a sad, Europeanized parody. Bland, characterless, and utterly disconnected from the vibrant soul of true Vietnamese food. Food looks good for Instagram but the taste lacks in all aspects... The tamarind prawns lacked any punch or complexity. The pho was a watery whisper of what should be a bold, fragrant experience — no depth, no soul, just broth in a bowl pretending to be something it’s not. And the noodles with beef?Boring sadness with a hint of nothing.
This wasn't fusion. This was confusion. A place that serves food that’s technically edible but spiritually bankrupt. If you’ve ever had real Vietnamese cuisine — with its layers of herbs, spices, umami, and passion — this place will insult your palate.
You don't walk away from Good Morning Vietnam with a full heart or a craving satisfied. You walk away wondering why you didn’t just get a sandwich instead.
Overpriced, no soul,no intensity,no character.Probably the only reason why it has high rating is because Italians know nothing ab this...

Perhaps we didn’t have luck with vegetarian dishes or perhaps that day not everything was in order yet. The dishes were super salty and far from Vietnamese taste. Eg. For the spring rolls we expected the original salsa as well , not the mayo sauce… The place is nice and brand new so that’s definitely a big plus however the food’s taste needs to be improved as far it goes for dishes like: Spring rolls ( Involtini primavera) bun Xao rau and Tom...
Read moreFriendly and welcoming host. Many menu options. Very nice decor. We wish them much success as they proceed. Unfortunately, our meals were a disappointment. With my Com Thit Rang, the pork was tough to chew, and not well seasoned. And for 13€ I expect better. My companion's Com Ga Cari was very flavorful, but the chicken served was difficult to cut from the bones as it was from less its desirable parts. We always seek out good-quality Asian cuisine, and hope this place grows into becoming one of our favorites. But they are...
