This is one of the very few, if not absolutely the only one restaurant around S. Stefano capable of some quiet al fresco sitting area away from the highly crowded surrounding alleys. First good reason to opt for it when around. The menu is pretty much traditional, so if you are looking for some local culinary experience, here is your second good reason. Spoiler alert: in fairness it’s really hard to find in Bologna any restaurant which does not try to do local dishes, menus are pretty much copy and paste. Hence looking for quality is paramount 🤓. To live the full traditional experience here I’ve tried lasagne and cotoletta. It’s a very substantial meal, hardly will leave any space for dessert, but was really worth it! Lasagne were good, with the pasta layer thick and consistent, not over cooked at all. The ragù was an equal companion. I think the cotoletta was fine, I feel like I’ve tasted more delicious ones, but maybe it’s just me. I cannot put my fingers on what it was, maybe not soft enough. Anyway, still a gorgeous sensorial experience. The service was really courteous and sweet. Prices for quality I think are an ok match also considering this is located in a very touristy spot. Enjoy your mean and let me know if you’ve found this useful 😋

A very beautiful and photogenic cafe, both inside and out, however it is very cramped inside. If it wasn't so cold, I would definitely recommend to sit outside. We ordered Italian hot chocolates (€5 each, menu says €4.5, so I guess there is also coperto charge), with a choice of either white or dark (nothing in between). We chose dark hot choc. It was really tasty but very very rich. A bowl of whipped cream was served on the side to share, with 4 biscuits to scoop up the cream. The atmosphere inside was nice with candles and chandeliers, but, just too cramped. Didn't have much interaction at all with staff, so nothing to add here, but they seemed nice. Pretty bar and seating area down the side alley. The majority of the food on the menu was not available. The food that was available was heated up supermarket quality food and it was overpriced. 16 euros for a small lasagna that was cold, 18 euros for polpette (3 meatballs, with peas in a tomatoe sauce) was very expensive for what it was. I'd have a drink there but I wouldn't recommend eating there. Much better places nearby that are cheaper.

Staff was extremely rude and seemed annoyed by customers, they were even fighting with each other during service while everyone could hear. Food was mediocre at best, bruschette were sad, tortelloni were undercooked, and the salad was small and deficient in all aspects (the sauce was good though). Drinks were expensive and the mocktail was grey and basically sugar, moreover, they came a peculiar order with the cocktail coming after the bruschette (which, in an interesting twist, came after the main courses even though they were ordered as appetisers; perhaps, the chef was trying to make a statement about homologation in the food industry, that said, the result was just messy). The building was nice, location is great, the little courtyard quaint. However, the bathroom was a health hazard with unidentified liquids on the floor (I didn’t have it in me to actually investigate the origin of the liquid, which was in copious quantities on the floor). Concluding, I strongly advise against dining or even getting a drink from this...

Esperienza pessima e veramente poco carina. Prodotti scadenti e miscelazioni completamente a caso.

Poi ovviamente ognuno a casa propria lavora come meglio crede.
