Not the best service. We arrived and were seated, I wanted to try the ragu, my husband ordered the carbonara and a side salad.

We sat and watched as someone had a full 3 course meal, someone who came in 20 minutes after us had 2 courses, and we were still awaiting pasta. My food only came after I asked what was going on. No apologies, didn't come back to us.

The food was ok, but the place is small and there are about 2 tables per server, no one noticed we sat there whilst the tables next to us had their pasta plate and then full on main courses.

Then when finished they asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. I would have loved it, but was too scared how long it would take.

Asked for the bill, the guy disappeared so just went up to the counter to pay.

Maybe as we were tourists that thought we didn't matter?...

Great food, nice ambience, what's not to like? So, the place is on a corner, and is exactly like the kind of places that you'd usually just walk by and not notice - which would be a mistake! This is basically the new generation of "classic" Bologna restaurants. You'll find all the classics/favorites - gramigna, passatelli, tortellini/brodo, etc. - done extremely well, and fighting for attention with each other.

The staff is, as expected, helpful, the wine list is quite good, and the mascarpone is off the charts (seriously). The bottom line here is that this is as good as anything else you're likely to find, and a heck of a lot more affordable to...
