This review is due to the service and not because of the food. Food was amazing and we really enjoyed it (5 stars to the cook). This review is due to the service and the people who attended us. In their menu they have some plates with GF (gluten free) as an option, even for pizzas and pastas. Having a son with wheat allergies it’s quite important to ask about it, so we did ask to 2 waitresses, in Italian, if a plate has “frumento” (wheat in Italian) and both of them answer in the same way saying that they didn’t understand me. Weird, sure Italian is not my first language but all other people which I have spoken about it in Italy till now have understood (even in other restaurants). Well, they called which I guess is the manager of the place and with a really bad attitude tried to explain us that meat is gluten free and potatoes too, but explaining it in a way as he’s speaking with someone with low-intelligence. Well, these “low-intelligence people” are dealing with food allergies since 3 and a half years and have being several times in the hospital because of it, so we “idiots” have to make sure the food our son eats...
Read moreWe arrived late for dinner, ordered pizza to start as we were on our mini pizza tour of Italian cities and read this was the place to have the best pizza in Bologna. So asked for Margarita first, then mains of veal, pasta & pizza to share. So basically it all came out at once, so quick I couldn’t blink my eyes (faster then a McDs:)). We didn’t comment, pizza tasted good BUT could of been cooked longer, pasta was undercooked as it was quite tough to cut even with a fork, veal was loved by meat eaters, and salad was mid…I mean iceberg lettuce and tinned sweetcorn - I thought I was at a Pizza Hut salad bar?! Food was no nowhere as good as expected but still ok, but what was awful was the service…whilst we had our food thrown at us (I thought it was because we arrived late), we left and saw other dinners enjoying their courses, I guess the waiter(s) just didn’t like us. Maybe because we didn’t order...
Read moreI do not recommend this restaurant. The pizza uses low quality ingredients and is subpar. For pizzas at this price point I recommend Berberè and Caruso. Those restaurants offer high-quality ingredients and tasty pizza that more closely resembles Neapolitan pizza, and you definitely wont feel like you are overpaying for mediocre pizza (like in this restaurant). Also, they charge 2€ for filtered tap water, which feels like a scam because most restaurants will give you actual bottled water, which you can trust to be clean unlike their filtered tap water, for either the same price or lower. If you want to eat pizzas made with the cheapest ingredients available in the supermarket and get charged 2€ for tap water, come to this place, but if you want a more delicious experience where you feel like you are receiving what you are paying for go...
