Pane Georgiano — Restaurant in Bologna

Extraordinary food. Lovely couple business

I came to Italy to eat Italian food as we all know it’s delicious. But I honestly was pleasantly impressed by this Georgian Restaurant.

First of all, it is open before 17-18, which is a big plus if you want to eat lunch/early dinner like a normal non-italian would do.

Secondly, the restaurant is quite small, with only a few tables (5/6) but this is exactly what makes it cosy. And the decor is pleasant as well and has a few traditional items.

Thirdly, the price-to-quality ratios is good (actually it’s amazing) since the food is off the charts. Just brilliant. We got a focaccia with cheese and spinach…I was at a loss for words when I tasted it. We also got pork mean with plum sauce. It comes sizziling it a hot plate! (The sauce was :O ) I also got the bean soup, which was pretty darn close to what my mother makes and I was pleasantly surprised. The free bread they provide was delicious as well. (Everything we ate was freshly made,nothing frozen. You can actually see the lady preparing the food)

After we could not have a dinner in the similar place nearby, we decided to come here. Earlier we left bad review in the former place. These 2 places were owned by the same person. This man, after he found out the review from me. He came to me and started to shout at me in the presence of other customers, without politely asking about the problem. He angrily yelled at me: “Is it you who left this review? Why you left it, this is my place! Don’t come here!” As a result he ruined our evening and mood👎 The only adequate person was the waitress who was polite and friendly

P.s: also during this unpleasant conversation there were also nationalist statements, which I will not...

I am rarely putting low reviews but this case particular. I am armenian and Georgian(from my grandmother side) but I can’t speak Georgian,,I went there in my birthday because I am fan of Georgian cuisine. My friend who is half Ukrainian and me talking in Russian,,which is more easy for us,,maybe they thought that we were Russians,or just Russian talking people we threaten very bad. waiter didn’t pay attention on is,after she served other people,,then us,we had been going to reception for asking one more food or even paying bill,She served anyone.
