We chose the 30 euro tasting menu. The waiter asked if we wanted our fish “cotto o crudo,” cooked or raw. I said cooked; my friend said raw. The waiter brought out a first dish for both of us with shrimp and some veggies. It was fine. Nothing remarkable. Then he brought out a plate of tuna carpaccio for my friend. She ate it, I kept waiting for my cooked fish. I asked a different waiter who had come to clear the plates and he said in confusion they didn’t have any cooked fish. The original waiter came back and said that the shrimp was the cooked fish and that he had brought it for both of us, meaning the raw fish (on a single plate) was presumably also meant to be shared. Huh? Then why ask us which we prefer? And why only one plate? He brought out more carpaccio, but it only went downhill from there: I’d had a long exchange with the waiter on making sure everything was GF for me, then in the end he gave my friend the GF final dish. We noticed, but imagine if someone with celiac didn’t. The food was also just not very good. Pretentious canteen sums it up. This place was recommended to me a couple years ago. Back then, there was a line around the block to get in at lunchtime. Times must have changed because at dinner the place was almost empty. Maybe it was an off night. The surprise menu concept is interesting, and the price point is low (which makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients), but I...
Read moreToday we had lunch at this restaurant. We were 4 people and we waited an hour and a half. On the first place I have to advice you to read the menu outside because it’s the only place where you will be able to do it, and if you don’t, you will be charged extra like they did with us with no explanation. No one inside explains you the menu. You sit down and they instanty bring you a random entry, then they TELL you (because you don’t have any menu) two options for a first plate and after that they do the same with a second one. But they NEVER tell you that you will be charged extra. That repeats with the dessert. We finished eating on that place that had been recommended to us because of a menu of €10 (it is famous because it’s cook wants to have a menu that any social class can eat), we went to pay and on the display of the machine appeared €45, we supposed that they were charging us €5 for table service but that was okay with us. Once we payed they gave us the ticket and it said €80. We asked and they had charged us the €20 menu. They instantly started treating us bad. They told us that we were playing dumb and they wanted to call the police. No one gave us our money back at least for the bad attention. It’s a pitty because some of the food was good but they don’t care about the client. We don’t...
Read moreThis place prioritizes commercial gain over customer service and charges unreasonably high fees. I booked 3 pitches online two months in advance and specifically requested that all three pitches be placed next to each other. I received a confirmation email stating that the total price for the 3 pitches for 3 nights was €810.
However, when I proceeded to make the payment online, I was charged an additional €90. Upon check-in, the receptionist was unaware of the price discrepancy and had to go to the office to clarify, which delayed the check-in process by nearly an hour. After an hour, I was finally told that the extra €90 was due to the request to have the 3 pitches placed next to each other.
I explained multiple times that this request had already been made at the time of booking and that the confirmation email clearly stated the total cost as €810. Still, the staff kept repeating that the €90 was an extra charge for placing the pitches consecutively. Frustrated, I ended up just checking in.
I have visited many campsites across Europe, but never have I encountered a place that imposes such a high fee without prior notice simply for grouping pitches together. Absolutely do...
