Piovono Bombette — Restaurant in Brescia

This was one of the places we got recommended to go and try the food. We managed to get a table during a busy weekend, the place was full at all time, people just going out and their seats got filled soon after. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, the staff is friendly. We ordered a mix of starters which was quite good, a variety of different flavours. For main we ordered a mix of bombette, which are sort of wrapped pork, the difference between them was the topping they came with. They were all quite good. We also ordered a side of potatoes to go with them which were tasty but at the end got overpowered by saltines in both dishes. We also got orecchiette alle cime di rapa, which was a little bit too bitter on its own which came from the turnip greens. They did however work nicely with the bombette. Le mie aspettative erano elevate, purtroppo deluse( in rapporto al cibo che consumai quando visitai la puglia). Ambiente spartano con tovaglietta di carta, tavolo all' aperto, location piacevole. Antipasto(nel complesso abbondante, buon rapporto quantità/prezzo)con però una brutta sorpresa, i ceci tostati presentavano una larva( può succedere come ho detto al momento del conto, però ha condizionato il mio pasto)... Pomodori secchi e olive palesemente industriali, ricotta e nodini di mozzarella discreti, il rustico leccese invece l' ho trovato il piatto migliore dell' antipasto. Le bombette panate aglio e prezzemolo mi han deluso perché non discuto gli aromi piacevoli ma la carne era abbastanza nervosa( mio suocero è macellaio, il capocollo di qualità è altra cosa)e l' avrei presentata meglio, magari con un contorno di verdure, un po' triste come presentazione, peccato. Al momento del conto, ho ricevuto uno sconto di 2 euro, per come sono fatto io non dico che avrei offerto la cena ma avrei levato il costo dell' antipasto.Asserire che mi sono inventato la presenza del vermicello( avrei potuto fare la foto ok) mette in dubbio la mia onestà.
