We were so looking forward to visiting this restaurant as it sounded promising. Unfortunately the service really let the whole place down from arrival. We had made a reservation online the day before which remained pending as nobody got back to us to confirm, even though when we made the booking we were informed this would happen. We called to check as our elderly mother was accompanying us and we wanted to make sure we had a table. When we arrived, our welcome was fairly dismissive. The waiting staff did not look happy in their work and this came across to us as customers. The menu is hard to navigate on the phone - too much information and the waitress was not particularly helpful explaining the food, especially as one of our party was vegetarian. The pizza crust was very light and tasty but other than that the food wasn’t particularly special. As we paid it was also done digitally - no actual bill to check. Only one bartender smiled and was friendly towards us as we were leaving. We were not difficult customers at all and didn’t cause a fuss - maybe that was why we were ignored most of the evening. The view is great but there are other restaurants with the same view that I would prefer to try. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and we had...
Read moreThe only good thing about this place is the view—if you manage to book a table outside. We were seated indoors. At first, everything seemed fine, but about 20 minutes in, I spotted two cockroaches crawling down the wall. One disappeared under a nearby table (those diners had no idea), and the other crawled right past me. I jumped onto my chair in shock and called over the waiter.
His response? A casual, “It’s normal in Cagliari—you have to understand.” Honestly, no—I don’t have to understand pests in a restaurant.
To make things worse, the kitchen is open—I could see them making my pizza from where I sat. If I could have walked into the kitchen, so could the cockroaches. It’s unacceptable.
I expected a serious establishment to take initiative—a gesture, a real apology, a discount, or at the very least an offer to move us outside. But nothing. I paid out of principle, hoping they’d make it right on their own. They didn’t. No accountability, no compensation, and definitely no tip. In hindsight I should have walked out.
Disgusted and disappointed. Avoid unless you’re okay dining with cockroaches and being told...
Read moreThe restaurant is overrated. It has been exaggerated with comments on social media and Google. You are eating standard flavor Napoli style pizza and there is neither black pepper, salt nor olive oil on your table while eating. There are no photos of the food on their menu. The waiters' facial expressions and greeting of guests are quite bad. They don’t speak English and make no effort, including translation, to understand the guest's request. In fact, they sell the ambiance of the street they are on, but that ambience is not something they created. Don't expect a special fine and dining pizza cuisine. You will encounter a make-up mediocrity. ——— After owners message ——— I understood where the waiters' arrogance came from from the message written by the owner. Continue as you are, with your wonderful waiters and wonderful service. But for me, you will remain a place where mediocre pizza meets mediocre service and arrogant staff. My comment is for those who care about real taste and experience, not...
