Bliss Restaurant — Restaurant in Cagliari

Google Maps has shown an average rating of 4,6. This was the reason that we have done a Reservation for July, 12th in 2025. Soon we received a table inside although there are tables outside as well. Then a Server appeared with the Menu ( one printed page). 10 minutes later he took our order: 5 fresh Prawns ( 5 € per piece), Tuna TARTARE (18 €) and " CALAMARATA AI FRUTTI DI MARE, SALICORNIA E BOTTARGA (20 €) and a small bottle of Mineralwater ( served in a Plastic bottle, 0,5 l = 1 €) and one Coke ( served in a closed (!) can, 3 €). From the House we have received Bread. The fresh Prawns were served on Ice cubes. What a pity that the edge of the plate was dirty. And of course the bowels of the Prawns were not cleaned. Then the Tuna TARTARE was served. It was a very small portion. It was fresh with good taste. Then my " CALAMARATA AI FRUTTI DI MARE with Bottarga was served. I have started a complaint to our Server that it wasn't "FRUTTI DI MARE "! It was only (!) served with MUSSELS. I have explained that FRUTTI DI MARE is a mixture of Seafood. Everybody can read the contents on Internet. Of course the waiter rejected my complaint and has explained to me that BOTTARGA is also Part of FRUTTI DI MARE and it is Seafood... Then he spoke with the owner (?) wearing glasses. He shook his head and later he came to our table to explain that the way of preparation only with Mussels is correct. Although my Partner has explained it in ITALIANO LANGUAGE he doesn't wanted to accept my complaint. But finally I was allowed to order something different: VITELLO TONNATO. It was served fast, good looking and the taste was good. But even this plate was dirty on the edge ( see separate picture). 5 minutes later the Boss appeared and has expressed his apologize telling me that I was totally right with my complaint. He has informed himself. Finally I got a Discount of 6 € on the bill.

To sum up: I have accepted his apologize. In general everybody can read on Internet what contains FRUTTI DI MARE. It doesn't make sense to underestimate guests and to have long discussions with several people about eligible entitled complaints. Today we have seen and experienced that things can be done better. That includes the Service...

We were really excited to go eat here on our first evening in Cagliari , especially after all the great reviews. Once we arrived we were asked where we want to sit and we’re placed outside on a nice little table - so far so good.

We ordered only a bottle of still water to drink.

As a starter we ordered a Vitelli Tonnato which was ok, but not very fresh or extraordinary. My girlfriend ordered gamberoni cbt - which was really really bad. The taste of the red sauce was awful and it all didn’t match up together.

As a main course we ordered the beef fillet sliced with truffles. I ordered Medium rare and it came medium rare - good. Unfortunately the truffle must have been very old as it did taste like nothing and could have been paper instead. My girlfriend ordered the Tortellini with Ricotta and to her negative surprise it was served more or less with the same awful red sauce as her starter was served with. As a side dish we ordered fried potatoes and we received chips to our surprise - but they seemed selfmade and fresh, so this was fine.

Overall the experience was bad , especially because as tourist we felt not very welcomed and the food of everyone else (not tourist’s) looked fantastic compared to ours.

We would not recommend this Restaurant to tourists at least.

Place looks fancy. We were however not quite impressed with the food. I ordered the horse cutlet and noticed after paying that I was charged extra for the potato chips that the menu said was included. Taste was OK, meat was on the chewy side for all 5 of us who ordered meat dishes. My mother ordered fish and asked specifically for a menu item that the waiter said was boneless, fish did however have bones in it. She said taste was good though.
