This place was recommend to me by a person who mentioned that foreigners usually don't go there as this is a place visited by the local people. On Sunday evening it was very peaceful, with only 2 tables taken. It seemed like a very relaxed atmosphere of a family run businesses. Waitress didn't speak much of an English but with my broken Italian and hand gestures we've managed to communicate without any problems.
Unfortunately most of the sea food was already gone since the place is closed on Mondays. However, we still managed to get three antipasti from the sea (Gattuccio, Tuna and Moscardino) and grilled prawns as the main. I must say that the octopus was so tender and tasty! Prawns were as good as I expected. For the dessert we had a Panna Cotta and Sebadas. The latter is the Sardinian pastry filled with Pecorino cheese and honey poured all-over.
Overall I highly recommend this place. We didn't experienced any slow down in the service, but rather had a...
Read moreGreat authentic Sardinian/Cagliari-an restaurant. This is a small family run restaurant in the heart of Cagliari and the food is absolutely delicious. We had the seafood antipasto to start, it had three different dishes which change every day, ours had fresh tuna salad with olives and cannelini beans, braised sardines in tomato sauce and fried ice fish croquettes. We then had the trofie with zucchini, arselle clams and bottarga, SO GOOD! All the fish and seafood was fresh, portions are large and everything was delicious and tasty. The service is quite slow but they mention it in the menu and cook everything to order (I also think there is only one person in the kitchen making everything), so you know what you’re getting into at the start and the food is absolutely worth it! You must come and eat here if you are in Cagliari and should call ahead or reserve through google beforehand. Grazie Mille...
Read moreUnfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. There is only one waitress attending the whole restaurant, and apparently, this is always the case. It wasn't an exception, but unfortunately, because of this, the service is incredibly slow, despite her being fast on her feet. What can you expect from 1 person attending 34 customers? I felt sorry for her, also because she was very nice, friendly and polite. Furthermore 1 dish we wanted wasn't available and the other one they wouldn't serve it to me because if would take too long to cook. It took them 80 minutes (not exaggerating, we checked the watch) to get our dinner. The food was good but we weren't impressed by the waiting time. There's no air-con, only fans, so it's quite...
