Review of Francis Drake/One Time

We went to the Francis Drake with good intentions, convinced that it was a nice place based on its appearance on Google Maps. Upon arrival, the restaurant was half-empty, but the waitress only visited us after a while, which we accepted. She informed us that the kitchen wouldn’t start cooking until 8 PM, and until then, only drinks were served. We understood the cultural differences, so that didn’t bother us.

However, she immediately asked us what we wanted without giving us a drink menu. We requested a menu, which she brought with noticeable reluctance. We were disappointed to find that the menu was only in Italian, so we had no idea about the dishes, making it seem impossible to order anything. We discovered that they didn’t have any local Sardinian or Italian beers, only beers from other countries, which was very disappointing. In the end, we ordered two Danish beers and a dry martini.

The beers arrived fairly quickly, but I waited a long time for the martini. When I finally got it, I was disappointed with the taste, as it reminded me of pure gin. Overall, the waitress seemed annoyed by our presence, and we didn’t feel welcomed in the restaurant. My colleague then ordered another beer, but he waited an extremely long time, while the place became even emptier, leaving only a few customers in the back.

When we requested the bill, it also didn’t come. Instead, they later delivered two more beers. When we told the waitress that we hadn’t ordered the second beer, she started arguing with us. Eventually, she angrily took the second beer away. The bill still didn’t arrive, so my colleague decided to pay at the bar instead. We left the restaurant and moved to a great place nearby (Feel), where we had an excellent meal, enjoyed Sardinian beer, and experienced great service that lifted our spirits after the visit to Francis Drake.

We lost an hour of our lives there, and I definitely do not recommend Francis Drake if you want to truly...

This Bar is located at a Shopping Street. You can sit outside and inside.

Big Screens are important for showing Sport Games.

First we were sitting outside and none of the female young staff has cared about us.

Outside and inside were not more than 10 guests although the capacity is for estimated 100 people.

But the staff has permanently ignored us.

So we have stopped 2 of them.

Of course no Menu was presented.

So we have ordered 1 Glass of fresh Orange Juice and one Glass of White Wine.

In the meantime I went to the men's Toilet.

The Toilet has no seat.

The Toilet Paper Holder was destroyed!

The door has had no Lock!

Everybody could have entered while I was sitting on the Toilet!

The soap spender was empty.

Then I have returned to our table.

Meanwhile the Glass with White Wine has arrived with 0,1 litre = charged with 4 € and bad taste!

The fresh Orange Juice arrived with a big kernel (see picture!).

Then we wanted to pay and asked one waitress for the bill.

Within 10 minutes the bill was not presented.

Then we have asked another female Staff. 5 minutes later is was presented.

Surprise : The amount for the Glass of Wine and the Orange Juice was 7,00 € + 5% for the Service.

That is the first time that I have seen it on the Island and in Italy.

Now it was becoming more curious.

5% Extra Charge = 0,35 €. Now they have given me a Discount of 0,05 € !!!

In addition I needed to pay 7,30 €.

Now we have asked the female Server how much wine they serve per Glass = 0,1 l or 0,2 l?

Her answer was also surprising:

We only serve that amount what you have got...

Ambiance: 2 STARS

Service: 1 STAR

Quality of served White Wine and Orange Juice: 1 STAR

Price and value for money : 1 STAR

FINALLY I CANNOT...

Ho cenato tre volte qua nel corso del mese. La prima volta mi volevano far sedere in un tavolo tutto sbilenco .. ad ogni movimento il bicchiere viaggiava dalla sinistra alla destra.

Seconda volta con amici .. direzione porta del bagno in una panca completamente sfondata .. il minimo ragazzi sarebbe aggiustare il posto dove un cliente si siede. Alzandomi, il pantalone dell’ abito si è impigliato nella panca, (legno scheggiato), e me lo ha danneggiato .. la cameriera mi risponde che dovevo stare solo attento (davvero??????? Seriamente ?????).

Terza ed ultima volta

Io e mio fratello, io carne e lui pasta

Come la vuole la carne ? Al sangue e mi raccomando, al sangue perché l’ultima volta (la seconda volta con amici, seduti dalla famosa cassapanca rotta, l’avevo chiesta al sangue ed era arrivata cottura media.

Infastidita di viso e di fatto mi dice di stare tranquillo .. e? Arriva la carne al sangue ma fredda 😂😂😂😂andiamo bene andiamo 😂😂😂😂 lo faccio presente e la portano in cucina ..e tempo due minuti ritorna calda ma ? COTTURA MEDIA .. non ci siamo proprio !!!

Insalata di pomodori 🍅 che non sapeva di nulla. Siamo in Sardegna Dio, mi aspetto di mangiare vegetali di prima .. non si fa questione sul prezzo ma bensì sulla qualità .. carote altrettanto insapore! Ho dovuto mettere un litro di olio e aceto per darle un po’ di sapore.. ma lasciamo perdere!

Attenzione: ci ho mangiato tre volte non una e tre su tre andata male sia come servizio che come cena!

L’utilità volta con un amico alle 17:00 appena arrivato a Cagliari mi chiede di prendere qualcosa la , poiché il nostro hotel era proprio affianco. Forte delle tre esperienze lo incentivo ad andare da un’altra volta. Eh va beh dice il mio amico, magari c’era molta gente e i camerieri erano impegnati etc etc .. quelle cose che si dicono per salvare la situazione.. ok dico io, andiamo!

Aspettiamo il cameriere, ci da il menù e dopo non torna più .. dopo circa cinque minuti .. io dico ok, vado dentro e chiedo al banco .. e dai! Il bar vuoto solo un tavolino fuori e in cinque minuti nessuno?

Entro e chiedo alla barista.. e? Siete seduti fuori? Arriva il mio collega… eh si , ma lo aspettiamo da cinque minuti e lui sta in chiacchiere con quella sua collega in fondo alla sala ristorante .. ascolta dico io al mio amico, andiamo in un altro bar ? No dice lui .. ok ancora una chance

Arriva il cameriere con tanta calma e ci chiede se sapevamo già 😂😂😂dopo più di dieci minuti ..

Un caffellatte per favore e un aperitivo

Mi porta il caffellatte che il caffè l’ha visto in Cina .. bianco .. e ? Tiepido .. non ci siamo.. posso averlo per cortesia caldo? Perché sta male dice il cameriere ? Ma che te frega .. si serve caldo non tiepido ..
