S'Incontru — Restaurant in Cagliari

I recently had the pleasure of dining at S'Incontru on Viale Trieste in Cagliari, and it was nothing short of delightful! The restaurant itself is bright, open, and incredibly inviting. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly, showcasing their knowledge and attentiveness without ever feeling intrusive.

One unique aspect of S'Incontru is the variety in their menu, as they offer not just one but three different menus – pizza, steak, and sushi! We opted for the pizza menu, which was diverse and included both traditional favorites and several adventurous choices. Most of our pizzas were absolutely delicious with firm, crispy crusts and perfectly cooked toppings.

However, there was a minor issue with my pancetta and red onion pizza. The pancetta seemed undercooked, and the released moisture made the crust excessively soggy. Despite this, the other pizzas at our table were simply excellent.

That being said, I will definitely be returning to S'Incontru, but I'll likely opt for take-away orders to avoid the cover charge. The food truly was fantastic, and I can't wait to try their other dishes! If you're in Cagliari, I highly recommend giving S'Incontru a visit for a memorable meal. I made the mistake to walk into this place without checking prices beforehand. I ordered a Margherita pizza with bufala and a beer, plus a limoncello. I ended up paying more that 19€, which is totally overpriced especially when considering that none of the three items I ordered were of outstanding quality. On the contrary, they were totally average. The pizza was mediocre to be generous, the beer was a standard blonde (I think a Stella Artois), and the limoncello was on the same line. Out of these items, the one that was by far most overpriced was the beer (4.80€) and the cost of table service (2.50€). Overall, something that should cost at most 15€ ends up costing 19€+: that is more than a 25%...

Locale "pettinato" e molto frequentato a Cagliari, situato in via Trieste, molto vicino al centro. Il locale è stato concepito all'interno di una struttura di recupero con un importante ristrutturazione interna ma anche esterna. Al colpo d'occhio l'imponente porta a vetro, la grande isola all'ingresso, i soffitti alti e la buona luminosità del locale fanno sicuramente una buona impressione. Molto meno impressionante invece la disposizione e le dimensioni dei coperti, molto piccoli, ravvicinati e un po' "sacrificati" a causa delle dimensioni importanti dell'isola-bar al centro della sala. Grazie ai soffitti alti sono riusciti però ad allestire un bel soppalco con coperti più comodi e tavoli più abbondanti in dimensione. Dalla mise en place non sono rimasto colpito in positivo poiché è molto scarna, essenziale ma non di buon gusto anche se abbinata alla texture del menù. Un menù che spazia dai classici dish al sushi ma anche alle pizze. Infatti proprio quest'ultimi, sono stati oggetto di ordinazione e studio da parte nostra in questa serata. Partendo dal sushi devo dire che ne ho apprezzato tutti gli aspetti... presentazione, pulizia, freschezza e sapore ma non ho trovato di mio gradimento il riso che non mi è sembrato né quello giusto ne cucinato a regola d'arte ahimè. Per quanto riguarda le pizze invece ottimo l'abbinamento di sapori, un impasto semplice ma ben strutturato e con tanto di "Cranch"! Peccato per il gorgonzola posto in quantità un po' eccessiva e quindi in parte coprente. Nel complesso un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo e una grande rapidità nel servizio nonostante fosse sabato. Per quanto riguarda il servizio al tavolo però devo sottolineare che è stato alquanto sbrigativo e poco accogliente...si può senz'altro migliorare!
