I want to leave this review for all the non-Italian tourist, as I am an Italian living abroad being currently a tourist in Sicily. Places like Luxor disappoint me deeply, and I don’t want to believe they are representative of this beautiful island, full of honest people. My husband and I just came for a quick dinner, and had only one starter and 2 mains. First of all, it was nothing special! Second, we were asking for a 16€ main and got offered “something local”, and nobody specified that it would be double price, which I find extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We received a bill of 145€, and my non-Italian husband, although surprised, was ready to pay. Knowing the local prices, knowing that prawns here are 12€/kg, I challenged the bill and they came with a new one that you can see in the picture. I absolutely don’t believe it was a mistake of course, but even if that was the case, this was one of the most expensive prawns in my life!! 6.3€ for one prawn in Sicily is just a joke. I want to add that I have been into Michelin star restaurants where I was ready to pay even 15-20€ for one prawn, because besides the freshness of the product there is art, studying and experimenting, other prime quality products on the side. Here there was just some local fish and it was not even decently cooked. I strongly don’t recommend this place as quality/price is just...
Read moreWe decided to try this restaurant as waiters were friendly when we passed and the restaurant looked great with several tables outside in front of the marina. I can confirm a great atmosphere, however I was not fully satisfied in terms of food and prices. Food is ok but is not outstanding, as you would expect from this type of restaurant. Pizza is decent, The crust is good, flavour is ok. Bruschetta was great, 4 pieces at 4 eur, great flavour. I was disappointed with couscous, I am sorry to say I tried so many different couscous before and this was not ranked among the best. The consistence was mashy and the portion was medium/small. Priced at 20 euros, this was the most expensive couscous dish I had in the province, and I expected much better. Also, I had an aperol spritz where the aperol proportion was smaller than should be, so the prosecco flavour was dominant. We asked to correct it and they did it, making it as should. Service was otherwise good, some waiters more friendly than others, all generally...
Read moreI want to acknowledge theefforts of the service team—they were attentive and genuinely worked to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations for the price point.
For starters, the 'Hot Mixed Starter' was disappointing, consisting mainly of fried potatoes and overly greasy cheese balls, lacking variety and balance. The 'Bruschette with Tomato' was decent, though the addition of ruccola felt unnecessary and slightly out of place.
The main course, the 'Marinara Risotto,' was underwhelming—it lacked depth and the vibrant seafood flavors that should define such a dish. The seasoning was insufficient, leaving it bland and unremarkable.
While the service was commendable, the overall culinary execution fell short of...
