Title: A Gem in Catania: First Lounge Bar

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the First Lounge Bar in Catania, and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience from start to finish. This hidden gem in the heart of the city is a true testament to the art of hospitality.

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of welcome. The ambiance at First Lounge Bar is nothing short of magical. The cozy and tastefully decorated interior exudes charm, making it the perfect place for both an intimate date night and a lively gathering with friends.

The highlight of my visit was, undoubtedly, the exquisite cocktails. The mixologists at First Lounge Bar are true artists, and their creations are nothing short of masterpieces. Each sip was a delightful journey of flavors and creativity, and I found myself eager to explore their entire cocktail menu. Whether you're a fan of classics or more adventurous concoctions, you're sure to find something to tantalize your taste buds.

What sets this bar apart, besides the exceptional drinks, is the impeccable service. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. They are knowledgeable about their craft and eager to recommend drinks tailored to your preferences.

The live music at First Lounge Bar adds an extra layer of charm to the atmosphere. It's the perfect backdrop to unwind and savor your drinks while enjoying the talents of local musicians.

In conclusion, First Lounge Bar is a true gem in Catania. Whether you're a resident or a visitor, I highly recommend paying a visit to this charming establishment. It's a place where you can indulge in delightful cocktails, experience top-notch service, and create lasting memories. I can't wait to return to this enchanting oasis in the...

The place is beautifully decorated, and the prices are very reasonable. The appetizers were tasty — we enjoyed the pasta, bruschetta, and fish.

However, we ordered a pizza with spicy salami, and that’s where things went wrong. The taste was really bad — it had a strange, almost chemical flavor. The weirdest part was that when we tried the pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and salami separately, none of them had that unpleasant taste. But as soon as you took a bite with all the ingredients together, the flavor became very off-putting.

We’re not picky eaters and rarely leave food uneaten, but in this case, we couldn’t eat more than one slice.

We asked the waiter if he could explain what might have caused the strange taste, and he said it could be due to the different types of flour used in the dough. But we don’t think that was the issue, as the dough tasted fine on its own.

To be fair, the owner later said we wouldn’t have to pay for the pizza, which we truly appreciated. Still, after we shared our honest opinion, our table was cleared very quickly, and we felt a bit unwelcome — as if we were expected to leave.

Overall, we really liked the place and enjoyed the food, aside from this one incident with the pizza and the unpleasant aftertaste. We only wanted to understand what might have gone wrong...

I came here because the queue at the restaurant next door was super long. Not a good decision. The little square is very cute, but that's already it. The pasta was quite boring. I had better in Sicily, certainly in the restaurant next door (which I highly recommend). The "service" was abysmal, I would give 0 stars if I could. I sat in front of an empty glass for over 30 minutes only 5 meters away from all of the waiters and in direct eye line. They passed by my table countless times, chatted extensively with each other and played on their phone. No question of whether I'd like a desert, a drink or the check. Eventually I had to get inside to pay but it noone there would have noticed if I would have just left...

Food is ok, the atmosphere is cool, a nice little back lane to have an afternoon drink. Just wanted to note that Karim, our host/waiter, is probably the reason why we’re writing this review. He was kind and extremely polite, very attentive and fun to talk to. He gave us recommendations on drinks to try and generally made our afternoon there enjoyable. Karim deserves a promotion he stood out amongst all the waiters we’ve encountered during our stay in Sicily in the past two weeks.

Our favourite restaurant in Catania! Located on a cozy square, great pasta, seafood and excellent service. We came there at night soon after our arrival in Catania and even though they were about to close, Frederico ( on the photo ) offered us delicious food smiling and answering our questions about Sicily. Since that day we came back almost every evening and had a very pleasant time. Thanks for your great work - especially Frederico but also guys in the kitchen and Luca. :)
