Read moreThe place is beautifully decorated, and the prices are very reasonable. The appetizers were tasty â we enjoyed the pasta, bruschetta, and fish.
However, we ordered a pizza with spicy salami, and thatâs where things went wrong. The taste was really bad â it had a strange, almost chemical flavor. The weirdest part was that when we tried the pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and salami separately, none of them had that unpleasant taste. But as soon as you took a bite with all the ingredients together, the flavor became very off-putting.
Weâre not picky eaters and rarely leave food uneaten, but in this case, we couldnât eat more than one slice.
We asked the waiter if he could explain what might have caused the strange taste, and he said it could be due to the different types of flour used in the dough. But we donât think that was the issue, as the dough tasted fine on its own.
To be fair, the owner later said we wouldnât have to pay for the pizza, which we truly appreciated. Still, after we shared our honest opinion, our table was cleared very quickly, and we felt a bit unwelcome â as if we were expected to leave.
Overall, we really liked the place and enjoyed the food, aside from this one incident with the pizza and the unpleasant aftertaste. We only wanted to understand what might have gone wrong...

I had better in Sicily, certainly in the restaurant next door (which I highly recommend). The "service" was abysmal, I would give 0 stars if I could. I sat in front of an empty glass for over 30 minutes only 5 meters away from all of the waiters and in direct eye line. They passed by my table countless times, chatted extensively with each other and played on their phone. No question of whether I'd like a desert, a drink or the check. Eventually I had to get inside to pay but it noone there would have noticed if I would have just left...
