Words are hard to describe how good the food was. It was one of the best meal I had in Italy during a two weeks trip. I started with a raw fish platter with 4 different kinds of raw shrimps, tuna tartare, octopus, anchovies and sword fish, it was dressed with olive oil with a bit of lemon juice, the seafood was so fresh and flavourful. I am a big fan of raw fish and meat, I love Japanese sashimi, however after trying Sicilian pesce crudo, i don't miss Japanese sashimi anymore!!!

I also tried the alive moving abalone that was still in their shell! I had to cut it while it was moving, was quite an experience!

I have been searching for sea urchin pasta for two weeks and finally I found it here! Pasta was al dente, sea urchin flavour was just right and taste of sea water but not too strong, it was...

Ordered pasta with garlic, tomato and prawns. However, they brought me some super bad spaghetti with tomatoes and langoustine, that was just crushed over the plate with eyes mixed somewhere with tomatoes. Not good looking, not tasty at all. Also ordered side dish salad with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and parsley. All we got was a plate of lettuce. In addition to that, they brought some bread that we never touched, and then took it back. The bread was added to the bill and costed €6. They have to ask or at least inform about some bread that they decided to include on their own. Never go there - My strongest...

Service was disgusting with the rudest waitress I have ever encountered in my life. From the moment we sat down she was mean, abrupt and very clearly in a bad mood with a constant angry look on her face whenever we asked for something. She continuously told me and my small group off when I asked if we could split the bill. I was simply asking that's all, I gave her no trouble and I paid with card happily. Food is average, small portion and not that flavoursome. For better and cheaper seafood you can go to other places in Catania. Will never ever go back here as long as she is...

Intended to go to a restaurant further down the street but it was closed so we decided to give Paranza a try. Seafood was very fresh and really incredible. Also tried the seafood and squid ink pasta but find the latter a little salty. Grilled Calamari was nice too. We capped off with a bottle of white wine to compete the meal. The lady and the boss of the restaurant were very kind and friendly except for a young man who probably had a bad day at work.
