An absolute gem in Catania â we loved everything about Bar Ventimiglia.
We came here for breakfast and ended up having one of the most delightful experiences of our trip. Everything was simply perfect: the brioches were warm and fluffy, the granita was refreshing and full of flavor, and the small pastries were absolutely delicious. And of course, the coffee â as youâd hope for in Italy â was top-notch.
What truly made the visit unforgettable, though, was the owner. He was full of charm and good humor, always ready with a joke, and made us feel genuinely welcome.

3⏠for a cappuccino is outrageous. Nowhere in Italy have I ever paid that much and Iâve been here for several weeks.
Right when we walked in, I felt weird about the interaction. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and the man at the cashier asked if we also wanted orange juice and we said no. Then he asked about food and pastries which we said no. It felt like he was pushing more sales.
The cappuccinos were good but also itâs Italy so I havenât had a bad cappuccino.
Lastly, he didnât show us an itemized bill at the end. There are plenty of great cafes in Catania. I wouldnât come back...
