Yesterday my family and I went there for dinner after stumbling upon the restaurant while it was still opening/setting up (18:00 local time).

Although we were there rather early (the restaurant opens around 18:30 local time), the staff welcomed us in, quickly set up our tables, took our drink orders, and brought us some complementary breadsticks while the remaining staff finished preparing for the night ahead.

The staff were super friendly throughout, and spoke enough English to the point that we could have easily had the same service quality had we not known a single word in Italian.

The food did not take long at all to arrive and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered two big steaks (1kg / 2.2lbs per steak) to share, along with a bruschetta, home-made fries, and a side of garnish and vegetables for each of us. Everything was cooked to perfection, and it was very clear that the kitchen staff were both experienced and dedicated to their craft.

Price wise, the entire meal (the two big steaks, a bottle of wine, two coffees, and four big bottles of water) worked out to be €20.50 per person - an absolute bargain!

Our only regret is that we discovered this place only a few hours before our flight back home, and could not stay long enough to have appetizers and dessert.

Worst experience ever. Because of the new year celebration we booked in advance and online (4p). On arrival we were left to wait in the door opening for almost 10 minutes before someone asked us “what do you want?” Long story short, we spend standing for another 10min as there was no table. After getting a table we spend half an hour before someone took any notice and directed another person to take our order. Than we had to wait ANOTHER half an hour before he came back asking why we had no food and suggested to take the order AGAIN.

So all in all we were in the restaurant between 21.15 until 22.45 without any food or drink or even an order being taken!

We left without food and had to celebrate New Years festivities on an empty stomach as all restaurants were booked at that time.

Troviamo questo posto su google, desiderosi di mangiare della buona carne e spinti dalle buone recensioni ci rechiamo qui. Un cameriere ci ospita gentilmente e ci fa accomodare al tavolo. Appena seduti ci portano del pane, i menu e la carta dei vini. Arriva a prendere la comanda una ragazza, evidentemente nuova nel lavorare in quel posto e che non parlava bene l’italiano (non per questo da penalizzare, è stata molto gentile) purtroppo però questo ha portato diverse incomprensioni tra cui il non saperci spiegare alcuni piatti. Scegliamo come antipasto un tagliere di salumi, ci viene detto che non era possibile averlo così cambiamo e prendiamo delle bruschette, scegliamo un secondo di carne a testa e due calici di rosso. La ragazza torna dopo pochi minuti al nostro tavolo dicendo che tutto quello che avevamo ordinato fosse finito, così scegliamo tra le poche cose rimaste a disposizione: due costate, una di chianina e una piemontese, il prezzo andava all’ettogrammo, e fino a qui ci siamo: peccato che non ci è mai stato riferito quale sarebbe stato il peso finale della carne, che alla fine si è rivelato essere circa 1.5kg L’UNA. (Chi di competenza saprebbe che il peso va riferito prima di servire il piatto a tavola, per mettere al corrente il cliente, e che in questi casi si consiglia di dividere, cosa ovviamente non fatta) Ma ecco che arriva la cosa più grave: nell’attesa dei piatti ci accorgiamo che dentro al paniere c’erano delle formiche, con delicatezza lo comunichiamo al cameriere ovviamente mortificato che ci propone ci cambiarlo, ovviamente abbiamo detto di non volerne più… Arriva la carne, il gusto era buono niente da dire, se non fosse che mangiando ci accorgiamo che nella parte sottostante ci fosse una sorta di pellicola plastificata, facendo notare anche questo al cameriere ci viene detto che “””pensa””” sia la pelle stessa della carne. Continuiamo a mangiare dissezionando questa “pelle”, fin quando arriviamo al punto di lasciare la maggior parte delle cose all’interno del piatto a causa della grandezza in primis, e poi anche perchè amareggiati dall’esperienza. A fine pasto torna il cameriere chiedendo se avessimo gradito OFFERTO un caffè. Alla fine non solo non ci hanno tolto nulla nonostante gli errori gravissimi fatti notare (soprattutto le formiche.) e questo si potrebbe anche capire, ma ci hanno fatto pagare anche il caffè.
