Rasoterra - Pizza Experience — Restaurant in Catania

Thanks to RASOTERRA our food experience in Catania took off. We've known about RASOTERRA through internet and me and my wife have decided to try it. The place is located in the city centre, therefore it is quite simple to reach.

The restaurant is well maintained: outstanding and pretty cool. We had known that food in Catania is extremely delicious. However when we've eaten RASOTERRA'S PIZZA we were agreed to say that is really higher level than other restaurant where we have been.

They always choose fresh ingredients, whose often are local, so that the experience will be remembered for a long, long time. We started with a dish of MONTANARINE ALLA NORMA and taste was gorgeous. Then the pizzas we've eaten were NORMA SCOMPOSTA and MORTADELLA 4.0 which were recommended by waiter. He said that these type of pizza are called contemporary pizzas which are soft and digestible enough. In addition whole staff is rather polite, quickly and moreover, since we sat, they had been taking care about us for all time.

On the other hand the price is considerably expensive but it is understandable because it is a sort of luxury place with great ingredients. Furthermore we're quite sure that we didn't eat a simple pizza that you can find everywhere but a marvellous and unforgettable gourmet pizza.

For these reason, I definitely would recommend going for a eat at the RASOTERRA restaurant. It is an amazing experience you never forget! I'm looking forward to...

Hands down the best pizza I ate (and I ate a lot of it) on my 2 weeks in Sicily. We had trouble choosing, the descriptions all looked amazing. I landed on Pizza Atena and wasn’t disappointed. Crust was both fluffy and satisfyingly chewy, the toppings divine. The confit tomatoes to die for, so sweet and full of flavor. I wish I could have eaten here twice.

Also lots of alternative pizza options here, fried pizza etc, many I didn’t really understand what they were, and the staff didn’t speak the best English so I decided not to ask too many questions.

As for the staff, they were either short or just aloof. The hostess is not the friendliest and once we did finally sit down we were not approached for close to 20 minutes until finally one of the helpers (not a server?) came over and asked would we like a bottle of water but wasn’t able to take our order for anything else. So 5 stars for the food, but maybe work on...
