Il Mondo — Restaurant in Catania

The worst chinese place I have ever been. It really makes me laugh reading reviews saying ''Authentic'' taste. It clearly shows that some people here never tasted some real chinese food or doesnt have any taste at all. The place was empty, and they seated us next to a family that was so loud and had no manners at all while having lunch. So i asked the waitress to be moved as i didnt want to ruin my mood while having lunch, but she pointed me to another table that was still next to them so it was useless. After getting the menus, she came back after 15mins to get our orders. After placing our orders, she brought our drinks. We ordered spring rolls for starters, they were the worst spring rolls ever, oily and with no taste at all. After 20 mins she brought the rice, and after another 20 mins she brought 1 of the 3 the main courses that we ordered. After following up the remainder of our orders, it took her another 20 mins to bring the rest and the rice was already cold. We ordered sweet and sour chicked, fried chicken with lemon, and beef with bamboo. It was a disaster. The food had no taste at all!!!!!!!!! I suggest you to avoid...

È un classico “ristorantino” cinese. A primo impatto non trasmette niente , ma non è poi così male . A livello di location , do 3 stelle :★★★ , poiché non si trova in un bel posto , ed è difficile anche trovare parcheggio ( con il rischio che nei dintorni graffino la macchina a causa della strada che purtroppo è stretta.), più facile da raggiungere a piedi. Per quanto riguarda la cucina , il cibo è davvero buono , ci sono andato più volte e mi sono sempre trovato bene, si mangia davvero tanto e si paga poco (2 persone tra antipasti , primi , secondi e dessert , abbiamo pagato intorno ai 30 euro , e a mio parere abbiamo mangiato tanto e soprattutto bene). Hanno una buona varietà di menù , quindi è adatto anche a chi possibilmente non mangia di tutto o chi magari è diffidente a prendere piatti sconosciuti. Il mio consiglio e variare sempre , prendendo cose nuove per provare. Cibo , voto 4 stelle: ★★★★ Per quanto riguarda invece il servizio ,la signora che serve i tavoli è disponibile e gentile , riesce a gestire più tavoli contemporaneamente a discapito di qualche errore di tanto in tanto , vi metterà un po’ di ansia quando dovrete ordinare ( capirete quando ordinerete). Servizio , voto 3 stelle: ★★★ Concludo dicendo che l’unica pecca è che il locale essendo piccolo , d’estate c’è molto caldo all’interno , e non è proprio piacevole mangiare dentro una “sauna”, d’inverno invece si sta benissimo. Ah , i tavoli sono un po’ vicini a causa dello spazio , quindi magari potreste trovarvi vicino qualcuno . Andateci , provate varietà nel menù e divertitevi . Wonderful, authentic Chinese food. We stumbled upon this quiet, unassuming restaurant on our first day in Catania. What a happy find! Cooks are from China and can do really good stir fry dishes which we are used to in Singapore. The waitress has lived in Sicily for many years so she was able to introduce many dishes.
