Our meal was amazing. We started with a delicious thin crispy wafer topped with olive oil and sea salt, cooked over a wood fire. Then absolutely delicious mussels with bread to sop up the broth, grilled prawns and langostines, and two other fish dishes. All of us cleaned our plates! Dessert was creamy panne cotta with chocolate sauce and creme brulee with a delicious berry compote. They also brought the table and assortment of cookies and after dinner liqueurs that are a specialty of Sardinia (where the owners are from). Every bite of food was amazing. The restaurant is family owned and run, with great attention to detail. Their wine suggestions were perfect with the meal. Definitely recommend you try this restaurant...

We recently enjoyed a memorable dinner with a small group at La Bomboniera. The food and service were top notch and the atmosphere was so welcoming! We really appreciated the little extras like the wood fired crackers before dinner and the sweets at the end of the meal. The sea bass was prepared perfectly and the price was so reasonable. In 2 abbiamo speso 92€ per 2 antipasti (40€), 2 primi (16€+17€), pane, una bottiglia d'acqua, una mezza bottiglia di vino (12€). Ristorante con una marcata impronta sarda e una bella vista sul mare di Civitavecchia se ci si trova sui tavolini esterni. Materie prime di ottima qualità, prezzi fuori scala per alcune delle porzioni. Tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato era molto buono specialmente i primi, le fettuccine "bianche e nere" con cozze vongole e asparagi erano davvero particolari. Siamo rimasti però delusi dalla selezione di antipasti caldi e freddi, 20€ l'uno per quattro cose in croce, per carità buone ma ci aspettavamo molto molto di più sia in termini di porzioni che di contenuti: tra gli antipasti freddi ci aspettavamo di vedere dei crudi o almeno un po' delle bellissime cozze che abbiamo visto da chi aveva preso solo quelle come antipasto. Ciò che ci ha lasciato più delusi però è stata la scarsità di un antipasto da 40€. Altra cosa che non va affatto bene è la bottiglia d'acqua da 0,75 a 3€, fosse almeno da 1 litro... Ciò detto il personale è stato gentilissimo e anche se non volevamo un dolce ci hanno offerto degli ottimi biscottini che abbiamo apprezzato e la mezza bottiglia di vino...
