Trinity Pub — Restaurant in Civitavecchia

As a local, I used to come here to have a late night beer with my friends or my boyfriend. Bartenders in Italy tend to joke a bit and they usually are capable of "reading the crowd" to avoid offending people. Never had any problems before by the way.

This time I came here with several friends and my boyfriend to have a drink and get some warmth (it was freezing cold outside).

One reserved table (at around midnight... probably the reservation was not going to be claimed anyway) and one free table. We take a seat there and the owner brings the menus.

As usual, overpriced stuff (it's a pub anyway, not surprised). As an example, a "premium tonic water", "Malafemmena", which can be bought for 2,20 EUR online, was on sale for 4 EUR...

The owner comes to take our order (we've been there about 5 times, he should be able to recognize us at this point). My boyfriend was freezing so he asked for a hot beverage (not anything specific, just ANYTHING hot). Considering that they serve food, there must be some kind of oven or stove there. The owner goes "Let's move on" without even hinting a smile.

I was going to order an overpriced tonic water but I was honestly pissed off by this reaction. You could have refused gently (as civilized people tend to do) but no, just keep on pissing off people, you'll make big bucks this way.

A friend of mine then ordered a beer.

At this point the owner asks for more orders. My boyfriend kindly repeats his request (stressing out that ANYTHING hot is ok for him). Again the same rude reaction!

Zero apologies later, the owner SCOLDS US "Just one order for five people? This is not okay. I'll be back in five minutes for the other orders". I was with my friends. If I were alone I would have probably LOUDLY lost my temper with this rude exalted bartender.

At this point I get my stuff and ask the others to go away. They all agree, we were pretty upset about the owner's rude behavior!

We used to come often, but we will never come back,...

Small but interesting selection of craft beers on tap. Got additional selection via can / bottles. Friendly and accommodating service. The food was good...

Pub accogliente e tranquillo; perfetto per passare una serata in compagnia, senza troppo caos intorno. Personale gentilissimo, cortese e molto professionale. Possibilità di scegliere tra svariate birre davvero ottime, sia in bottiglia che alla spina. Menù essenziale, ma comunque vario. Buonissime le patatine fritte e gli stuzzichini (in diverse varianti). Non c'è una versione vegetariana dei burger quindi non li ho provati direttamente però i compagni di cena ne confermano...
