Stepping into L'Ideale Pizza Contemporanea & Bistrot was an enchanting experience that delighted all my senses. From the moment I was greeted with warm smiles, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and intimate dinners. The menu offered a contemporary twist on classic Italian flavors that was both innovative and deeply satisfying. The pizza, a standout with its perfectly charred crust, boasted the freshest of toppings, each bursting with flavor. It’s evident that the chefs pay homage to traditional Italian techniques while also embracing modern culinary creativity. Not to be outdone by the food, the service was impeccable. The staff demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for their craft that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.L'Ideale isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey that captures the essence of contemporary Italian dining. It’s a true gem in Como that I cannot recommend...
Read moreThis restaurant was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel, as a nearby place to walk to for good pizza. So, off we went.
The restaurant is in a small commercial plaza, and has a view of the church across the road.
It was roughly half occupied when we entered, and after waiting in line for 10 minutes we were told that every table was reserved - so we left.
We returned a few days later to find pretty much the same situation. This time we said we’d wait for a table. Eventually we were seated, and enjoyed an excellent pizza.
For the entire time that we were there the restaurant was at most half-full, but people were kept waiting at the door unnecessarily (or turned away) despite there being many unoccupied tables.
I’d like to recommend this place for the quality of their pizza, but overall can’t say that I’d return. Como has so many far better restaurants with equally great pizzas, considerably better views, and none of those ever turned...
Read moreI hate to be this person, but my dining experience here was terrible I'm not sure if it was the fact that I was by myself or that I was black but from the moment I entered the reception was as frigid as the air outside. I was begrudgingly seated at a table by the door, even though I asked for a table una corner since 8 was dining alone. I waited a long time for my order to be taken and even longer to receive it. I will honestly say though that the margherita pizza was hands down the best I've ever had. The drinks and the sobertto cream I had for dessert were also very good. An Asian server passed by and pleasantly asked if I was ok after I had requested my check twice from my server. This lady actually turned around the experience somewhat as she was quite gracious and helpful. Would I return here? More than likely not, but if you choose to go, you'll enjoy the food and hopefully will have a better...
