Osteria la Bajona — Restaurant in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

I wanted to select a nice place for dinner during our last night in Bormio and Osteria la Bajona was the perfect choice. While making the reservation, I mentioned that I would like to bring my medium-sized dog and was told that this request was not a problem. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were pleased to discover that our table had been arranged in a position where the dog would be able to rest comfortably. This little detail was a preview of the excellent service we experienced the rest of the evening. The staff was extremely kind and the food was excellent. The pappardelle with deer ragù, the veal with couscous, and the desert were some of the best meals I had on the trip. Very good service and great food. We started with the carpaccio of shrimp, then the typical pasta from the region and another pasta with cervo di ragu, then the lamb with lentils. And we finish with the chocolate sphere and coffee. All of that plus wine and coffee we paid 108 euros in two. I think the price was fair for the quantity and quality of food. Passeggiando per Bormio ho visto questo ristorante che mi ha ispirato subito...sulla fiducia. A volte la sensazione a pelle non mi tradisce e infatti ho avuto la fortuna di assaggiare dei piatti veramente ottimi. Iniziamo dalle tagliatelle alla farina di segale,ragù di cervo al coltello,funghi cardoncelli e crumble di anacardi. Alla prima forchettata ero già innamorato di questo piatto e l'ho assaporato fino all'ultima forchettata. Il secondo divino. Lombo di cervo in crosta d'erbe di montagna,salsa alla senape,pera al nebbiolo e verza stufata. Questo piatto mi ha dato gioia morso dopo morso. Ho finito con un dolce che mi ha incuriosit visto che adoro il dolce foresta nera. Semifreddo“foresta nera”:semifreddo al fondente con cuore all’amarena,spuma al mascarpone e sorbetto alla ciliegia e cannella. Premetto che non amo i dolci "scomposti" ma per questo faccio un'eccezione perché era veramente buono Consiglio di aspettare un po' prima di mangiarlo così la consistenza è più morbida. Inizialmente è un po' troppo duro ma basta attendere qualche minuto ed è perfetto. Poi è arrivata la coccola della casa che consiste in tre biscottini e uno in particolare mi è piaciuto moltissimo.
