Hyper-authentic family restaurant, which we found very welcoming and appealing on a snowy night where we wanted to sample the local food traditions.

They have a €30 menu which includes a generous plate of cured meats (mostly salami and bresaola) and cheese as a starter, pizzoccheri and sciatt (+salad) as first courses (yes, both of them), grilled meats with polenta as second course and a dessert (I tried the "braulio chilled dessert", which was delicious, but I could have asked a little of the other dessert as well). Served with wine, and maybe coffee (I don't remember).

My partner wasn't very hungry, and only had the pizzoccheri for 10€ (worth it). In addition, they brought us a bit of taroz "because we have some spare, so you can try it".

What can I say about this traditional family restaurant? The most delicious food we’ve ever had in Bormio, Valtellina. 💯👌🥰🤤 Definitely the best restaurant in town! My husband and I went for lunch and ordered some Taroz for antipasto (made with potatoes, green beans, lots of cheese and butter) and some Pizzocheri - primo piatto (both generous portions). The Taroz was delicious and the Pizzocheri was divine! The overall experience: food, service, atmosphere and location is excellent, 100% recommended. This restaurant is usually open for lunch and dinner, but since it’s a bit far from downtown, I would recommend to call and make a reservation. Do not hesitate to check it out! A wonderful restaurant serving the traditional food for the area in welcoming surroundings with incredibly friendly staff. The menu is short however everything we tasted was delicious. You can choose either to go with a whole tasting menu, or you can order any of the dishes on the tasting menu as individual plates if you don't want to have the whole selection. Whilst the traditional food of this area is quite heavy, the dishes were all very tasty and expertly cooked.
