Non tornerò mai più dopo l'incidente razzista.

I had a horrible experience at this bar. I have been a regular customer since Dec 2023 and have had coffee, aperitivo and lunch here regularly as I have a second home in the area.. The younger member of the waiting staff are kind and sweet.

Unfortunately on my last visit, I asked for a coffee (in Italian) from the old man who always makes the coffee, he was incredibly aggressive in the way he spoke to me on a very busy day. When I asked for my cappuccino with soya milk, on this occasion he replied in a very rude tone "Do you want rice with that?" I do speak and understand Italian but by no means a native speaker, I was confused by that. When the customers that he had been speaking and joking with all laughed I realised this was a comment on the fact that I am Chinese.

I will not be coming here again... why would I pay money to a racist establishment? This is a shame as I had such a lovely experience with the younger waiter who really understand how to...

Not the cheapest espresso in the area, but possibly the nicest. Pretty cafe, and coffee arrived with tiny meringues and cinnamon biscuits.

The staff were very friendly, and explained a little about the history of the building. A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Everything seemed very clean — my only disappointment was there were lots of flies. I think perhaps flies are a feature of the Aosta valley...

Abbiamo fatto colazione 2 mattine di seguito: la prima mattina prezzi normali, un caffè 1.10€, succo alla frutta 3€, ecc.. La seconda mattina abbiamo pagato tutto PIÙ DEL DOPPIO: caffè 2.70€, succo alla frutta 6€, ecc.. pagando un conto totale di 12.50 in più rispetto al giorno precedente (ed avevamo ordinato anche meno prodotti); dopo una telefonata per chiedere spiegazioni siamo andati personalmente (su invito del presunto proprietario) e ci è stato detto che la prima volta hanno sbagliato a fare il conto perché “non hanno incluso il servizio” (entrambe le mattine seduti al tavolo), che doveva essere calcolato su ogni singolo prodotto (e non a parte); poi discutendo è venuto fuori che in realtà la prima volta siamo stati scambiati per “gente del posto” quindi abbiamo pagato il prezzo “normale”, la seconda volta in quanto “turisti” abbiamo pagato letteralmente il doppio. Ciliegina sulla torta? L’affermazione “Se vi sedete qui, è perché ve lo potete permettere”.
