Wonderful 170 year old Italian restaurant in Vicenza, Italy. Top quality service and atmosphere. Very nice food and excellent dessert!
Upon entry you see the full kitchen and steaks, then the dessert cart... Already very good first impression. Table service was very good and the waiter speaks perfect english. House wine was quite nice, Italian Cabernet with mid body, fruity and easy to drink. On food:
Cold cut cheese platter — excellent.
Black angus steak for 2 — incredible, especially the potatoes cooked with oil from the steak. Mind that it is huge, can easily be for 3.
Tagliatelle wild boar — very good. They give huge portions for pastas here.
Speciality macaroni — Mascarpone based sauce, not really to my taste. I knew mascarpone itself is not so flavorful in hot dishes but was expecting a bit more.
Desserts — had Tiramisu and some kind of Italian Mille-feuille. Both exceptionally good!
