Beautiful terrace, but that’s where the positives end.

The staff was cold and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in.

The food was far from impressive. I found a plastic-like object in my meat pasta. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she shrugged it off, saying it was “probably a fish shell” and “normal in the kitchen.” A serious concern for anyone with allergies.

The other dish we ordered was a pasta dish with gambas and fish roe. The portion was laughable: just four tiny shrimp, and when we questioned it, the server simply blamed “the cost of gambas”. As if that justified the poor value.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. I’m honestly baffled by the glowing reviews. I also noticed another comment suggesting bias against non-Italians. Sadly, that wouldn't surprise me based on how we were treated.

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry to see that my experience is being dismissed as “frustration” rather than taken as honest feedback from a customer who simply did not feel welcome.

I had hoped for a professional and customer-oriented reply. Instead, I read personal accusations and assumptions about my behavior and taste. Just to clarify: I politely pointed out that there was a strange object in my dish; which was dismissed as a “fish shell” and considered “normal in the kitchen.” That’s concerning, especially for people with allergies.

My partner and I are not unreasonable people. We’ve dined in many restaurants, both in Italy and abroad, and we genuinely appreciate good food and hospitality. Unfortunately, we did not experience either during our visit.

It’s great that others have had positive experiences; but that doesn’t change how we were received or treated.

I wish you all the best, and I hope future feedback will be met with a bit more openness.

After being highly recommend this by a local, myself and my partner decided to first of all book a reservation (tried doing this VIA what's app before the restaurant opened). We received no response which I think is highly unprofessional.

We decided to chance a walk in booking. The woman who greeted us was arrogant, and said it was not possible for a table. I've been to many restaurants where there is no tables available but they have tried to accommodate by saying if you come back in x amount of time they'll do their best to accommodate...or they've said if you would like to get a drink at the bar and we'll seat you at a table we can.

We had the offer of non of the above and it's is highly disappointing and I would discourage any potential clients from dining here to the unprofessional and arrogant staff member that we encountered.

Unfortunately, this experience didn’t finish well. We started with the seafood apetizer, and it was tasty. Then we ordered two middle done stakes and a swordfish. Stakes looked very nice when served. Swordfish was not that nice looking, like there was not enough time to prepare it or the grill was not hot enough. However, the most dissatisfying dish at the end was not a swordfish, but beef stake. It was done a liitle bit too much, however the major issue was a quality of the meet, which was hard to cut and even harder to chew. Suprisingly, a waitress took our note and pass it to the kitchen. When we payed she apologized about the meet and they didn’t charge it either. Which is commendable. But, we would rather have a good meal than reduced price after disappointment. This is the second disappointment this week in Cala Gonone. We had simular experience in Snoopy restaurant with pasta … It is probably too touristic place here to have a good meal, unfortunately.
