A very friendly bottega located on a beautiful square of Ferrara. The bottega serves great quality meat-based dishes and charcuterie. Definitely you should try their Bombete! A small pice of bread filled with mortadella bolognese. Also, they have an interesting selection of natural wines with surprising notes. I visited Retrobottega Travagli in May'25 without any expectations, just because I liked its location - overlooking inner court. And it didn't disappoint. The location is nice, the staff is polite and helping, and the food was amazing. Oh! And one of the best Apperol Spritz I have tried. I would gladly visit again if I ever come...

Personnel very warming and efficient. Location is fantastic and you cant miss the small sandwiches filled with mortadella directly from the co-located butcher! The gourmet sandwiches from the menu are enjoyable as well. Bottom line, you have to grab an aperitivo here if you visit Ferrara. Dont forget, better to book the table...

L'accoglienza è familiare, non conoscendo la loro proposta ci viene descritto il tipo di offerta e servizio che propongono, questo stimola la mia curiosità, assaggio la "bombetta" - un piccolo - non tanto - panino ripieno con affettato a scelta, nel mio caso una mortadella che lascia la nuvola profumata, un simpatico sacchettino - assaggio di ciccioli secchi, per finire ho voluto vedere ed assaporare il Parmigiano Reggiano 160 mesi, non mi sbaglio 160 mesi! In merito alle caratteristiche mi sento di allontanarmi, a mio parere e gusto personale ritengo che si perda un po il "fascino" di questo meraviglioso prodotto.
