Encanto doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's well worth your time. Service is friendly and efficient. They offer a six course "love experience" tasting menu, a three course "regional classics" set menu, a wide selection of a la carte dishes and an extensive wine selection.
The regional set menu is definitely worth trying, and very much in keeping with Ferrara's history as a medieval center. They open with a (large!) sliced meat plate with peppered prosciutto and salami, accompanied by some rounds of the local twist on regional fry bread. Round two is (of course) pasta with ragù, cappelletti filled with pumpkin/squash. A good portion, not overly large, and very tasty. Finish with salama del sugo on mashed potato.
