Absolutely an incredible Restaurant with breath taking views of Florence. The Road it’s on is very steep and will require some work to get to the restaurant and if your traveling with a stroller or someone in a wheelchair it will be very difficult to get to it but not impossible. Just be aware of this.
The service was excellent and the food matched the ambiance and gorgeous view.
We started off with a selection of salamis from Tuscany and Siena Cinta. Then we ordered the bistecca florentina and it was cooked to perfection and very good. We also ordered the egg noodles with black truffles which was one our favorite dishes from our whole trip. Tortello potatoe sausage plate, the Beef Fillet with Colonnata lard and black truffle, and the Ravioli with artichokes I dare to say the best out of our trip if not tie with the Restaurant in Rome named Mama e Coco.
We finished off with the fantasy’s of Pastery that brought chocolate cake, puff pastry with strawberries, and the mascarpone cheese cream with coffee flavor thin biscuits and chocolate. All were delicious.
Also keep waking up for an even better view of all of Florence.
A very memorable restaurant. Oh and make a reservation by going to their website and sending them an email. It’s the fastest and...
Read moreSimply one of the restaurant experiences you must go through while in Firenze. Their food, service and location are of the highest level and you will remember it.
They have a great wine cellar and exquisite Bistecca alla Fiorentina (florentine Steak); the best pieces are hand-picked every morning by the owner at his family owned butcher shop, ran by his uncle. But sincerely my personal favorite is their pastas, each meal is incredible and special in their own. The place is run like a family business, with a special attention to detail and incredible staff.
Prices are in the average of florence, which is a steal for such a place. The view is also breathtaking. From a different angle than the classic overcrowded Piazza michelangelo, it is overlooking beautiful Firenze. I recommend asking for a window table, or even better, sitting on the terrace during summer time. There is a small park with view and lots of almost-private space a few steps under the restaurant, if you want to watch the sunset before going up to eat. It is accessible by a bus going to a piazza nearby and then 5 minutes of walk on a really steep slope careful during winter which i wouldn’t recommend for wheelchairs.
This place definitely deserves your time.

Read moreI wanted to like the place - it was a decent hike up to get there, especially with a baby. However the fact that the lady working there was really insisting on tips when I was paying with my credit card (she even entered the tip amount herself after my first card didn't work and when I was trying to pay with another one) spoilt the experience. But the worst thing was that they added an extra 20 euro dish to our bill that we never ordered, which I only noticed later. I realized they never even gave me to see the bill properly and showed it from the distance before entering the amount into the machine, but I asked for the receipt after there was some issue with the payment, and looked at it only after we left. I called them and talked to the owner (I think) and asked to be reimbursed that amount. He first looked eager to send the amount back but after I told him I had a Canadian card and no IBAN, he disappeared and never reimbursed the amount.
To be fair, the food was decent and the views are nice, although they were not allowing anyone to sit near the windows with the view since they are for those who made a reservation only (and they were all completely empty). So we couldn't even see the view from where we were seated.
So be careful and...
