Terrazza 45 — Restaurant in Fiesole

The location is great and the staff friendly however…….the staff although friendly were somewhat indifferent to the fact they were serving customers. There was more a focus on food delivery rather than quality of service. The starter was fantastic but after that everything went downhill.

The time between starter was incredibly long, so much so, we were sure they forgot about us. When the main courses arrived, two of the three dishes were tepid temperature at best. Unfortunately these were the meat dishes. A Filet steak and a Sirloin steak on a bed of Rucola with Tomatoes. Both felt they had been standing a long time and were not fresh out of the pan. To add insult to injury the tomatoes were nowhere to be seen.

Stupidly we ordered dessert and once again waited an eternity. The Tiramisu was not a Tiramisu but another dessert entirely although we were informed it was definitely a Tiramisu. They had obviously run out of ingredients and desserts and just didn’t bother to mention it.

All in all a lengthy and unpleasant experience. We were charged full price and not once, even when we were paying, did anyone ask us if we enjoyed our meal. I and my family felt we were tourists whose good nature had been taken advantage of. For 150 Euros we definitely could have dined much better.

I would NOT recommend this place for its food or service but there were some friendly staff members that made the experience somewhat bearable. GO ELSEWHERE AND GET QUALITY AND SERVICE FOR YOUR HARD...

The food is great and the place is amazing with a breathtaking view of Florence, but unfortunately the service needs really to be improved. We were 5 and started with appetizers. They all arrived except for one which was just a tray of cheese and honey, that was served 10 min after all of the others. Then we ordered 3 separate portions of spinaches to eat with the meat, one portion was basically 2 portions in the same plate ( which was not communicated to us) and was given to one person whilst the other 2 portions weren’t served. We asked again and we were given just 1 additional portion of spinaches that we had to share between 2 people ( which arrived when we already had finished the meat).

We also got desserts which were good, but we also had to wait quite some time for someone to come and finally take the orders. In the meantime we were smoking a cigarette and asked for an ashtray which was never...

The male staff in dirty white pants were the rudest disrespectful waiters I have ever encountered. Made us feel unwelcomed , and tried to make our evening one of the worst I have had in Italy . They virtually threw our cutlery on the table . Never smiled never asked if we enjoyed the food . They sat on their phones talking at the other end of the restaurant smoking , which I have never experienced in my life . If it was not for the out standing food I ate , I would say stay away from this restaurant just because of these staff members but the female staff made up for these rude and totally unprofessional waiters . They need to be sacked and get staff in that want to work with a smile and happy helpful manner . I have never written a review but I was so appalled by these two members of staff smoking and using their phone whilst they were supposed to be looking after their customers ....
