I give this place a solid 4. The service is lacking, I needed to ask for bread, water, salt, pepper (pepper never came), olive oil and balsamic vinegar etc. The waiter was a guy really cool dude but I didn't get to see him much lol maybe a total of 4 times, the girl that poured our 2013 brunello. She was a delight, people need to be cheerful as I dont go out and spend 150+ euros to be in a bad atmosphere. Still waiting on the water I ordered 10 minutes ago while I write this review. The food was ok/good the chocolate souffle was very good I had the steak Fiorentina which was 4 euros per 100 grams I had an 800 gram steak 400 grams of which was the bone. I ordered a medium rare it came as a rare (all good, I love steak). The starter was the Burrata DOP (not bad but the Burrata needed to be just slightly made with a balsamic vinegar reduction to make it perfect) the sweet raw ham aka prosciutto wasn't sweet. Double espresso was good and strong. Maybe it's a language barrier but my Italian isn't the best. Overall it's a good place that has good food and service is hit or miss. Again Italy has been a disappointment for food either people are use to mediocre tastes or they haven't travelled and had great food before.

Affe' di Bacco is an absolute gem in southern Florence! This eatery focuses on fresh and quality ingredients and it shows. We stopped in on a busy Sunday night and they were more than happy to find a table for our group. This is a local eatery off the tourist path, but nothing short of incredible. We came back 2 additional times in a week due to the high-quality food and warm, friendly staff. I don't even know where to start, the pizza is nothing short of spectacular. Don't overlook the apps and pasta. The seafood pasta was so good that I got it twice in a row. Our family enjoyed this restaurant immensely and after trying many top restaurants in Florence, could not recommend stopping here for a meal enough. The staff was very kind and the food was extremely delicious. Make a special stop for dinner, you will not regret it!

I have been to this restaurant twice to get take away since I believe it's the best in the area. Both times even though they were busy they took our orders and made our pizzas all in 15 minutes. Great menu with a huge variety of dishes and very nice staff. I ordered both times the Calabrese pizza without the olives, and my friend ordered the Prosciutto e Funghi and on the other occasion the Quattro Formaggi. Their tomato sauce is delicious, the salamino was very tasty as well but the crust was quite insipid. Whether you live around the area or just passing by, I highly recommend eating on this local neighbourhood restaurant. (I also just want to point out that on our last visit we realised that they have risen their prices).

Worst experience in Florence! We’ve got there 10 minutes before opening, we got in to ask about the tables but no one cared to raise their heads up and talk with us. We got outside and waited until the official hour of opening. We’ve got it and sat to a table of four (2 adults and 2 kids). A waitress came to us and told me that the whole floor was reserved (without any sign on the tables ). And if we wanna stay, only for an hour, if not go to the upper floor. We were with two strollers , a lot of stairs and with two small children, imagine getting upstairs. She was just mean. I got out because you can’t treat customers like that, the WHOLE RESTAURANT WAS FREE! Not even a person getting inside in these 15 minutes and she was telling me that it’s reserved, what a lie. That’s not how to treat customers, and the way she talked was rude,...

The non pizza food is decent. However, the service and information was deceitful.

1st - They don’t serve really any lobster in the lobster pasta. They only served 1 claw and the head of the “lobster” in the pasta. (The head and claw have little meat - The tail is 90% of the meat). The problem is they uncharge the lobster pasta yet it adds no real lobster meat. They said “it’s hit or miss if you get the tail”. The pasta is for 2 people so one claw is hardly a portion. We also expect the lobster was just large prawn. And they lied.

2nd- we ordered the best wine on me on the menu and they served another bottle. Then they said there are new wines not on menu. Hardly an excuse.

3rd. All the pizzas were not cut and we cut them. Then they said, oh, we forgot to cut the pizzas. Also, they were floppy and not...
