I generally do not write reviews while travelling and especially not Italy but this place really did not rub me the right way. Went to the super hyped Al Solito Posto. We arrived a little early for our 8pm reservation at 7.45. The restaurant was empty and there was noone to seat us. When we sat down someone came up to us and asked for a reservation even though all other tables were empty. The hostess wasn't very helpful when I mentioned that I was vegetarian. Her tone changes a bit once she realised we were also ordering some wine. The pizza was average. The ingredients used were good but nothing blowed my mind. Better to try other pizza places around. I have been to Otto before near Pitti palace which was fantastic! I will not be returning on any following visits to Florence.

Their tagline is god save the pizza. I suggest going somewhere else and saving yourself the trouble! Would...

🍕THE best pizza I have ever tasted, anywhere. Not a joke. A spin for my taste buds!!

We had dinner with a fried burrata entry followed by 3 gourmet pizzas for the table (Iris, Dandelion & one with burrata, dried cherry tomatoes, almonds, basil and provolone...

My fav was Iris with speck, gorgonzola, pear, mascarpone, walnuts, lemon, basil...

We were explained the concept of gourmet pizza by the owner Giovanni... between all the choices with some common and some exotic toppings i have never had a pizza this good. The combination of seasonal ingredients was on point!

We had a bottle of Fallanghina wine to "help digest" ;)

Amazing experience! Staff is such an eclectic collective we thought we were in an Amelie movie...

This made our...

The pizzas were very good and reasonably priced. Our reservations got us a table near the door of what felt like an overflow room and very lackadaisical service. One female server seemed very angry at one of the male staff which she didn't hide from anyone. Our server brought the pizza and our wine but didn't seem interested in us after that. The appetizer was grossly undercooked and arrived without a word of explanation or apology after we had almost finished our pizzas. Very disappointing from a relatively highly rated restaurant. Would not bother to...

We visited this place twice and I wish we had more days in Florence so we could try everything. The dough is so crispy and everything is made with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. There is a great variety of pizzas divided in two groups, one for the classics and a second one for the more adventurous pizza lovers. The prices are down to earth and the staff always welcome you with a smile! Probably the best pizza in Florence!
