Cucchietta — Restaurant in Florence

I am very surprised to see so many good reviews with five stars, I truly don't recommend this place. This restaurant certainly offers very good food, however, the staff is so rude and unprofessional that neutralizes the effect of the good food. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, together with my grandmother and my mother. We asked for one appetizer, one first course and two second courses and a side dish of vegetables. I took the appetizer, and wanted my grandmother to try it since she only eats soft food, I also mentioned that to the waiter. The waiter, without asking us about the order with which he should bring the courses, brought the appetizer, the first dish, and the second dish all together. Then, he disappeared for a long time, without even asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything. After a very long time the second second dish was brought and the side dish of vegetables was still missing. We took that again for my grandmother and for accompanying the second second dish. I had to ask them two times. They were always very rude, they would not say a word to us. After a long time, when I didn't have any appetite anymore the side dish arrived. At the end during payment, they asked us if everything was ok. I told them the service could be better, and the woman stopped talking to me, she did not even answer my thank you and goodbye. We paid more than 80€ for this dinner that left a bitter...

Trattoria Cucchietta is a very nice place, the interior is new, owners and staff are very nice and do a good job. I love the open kitchen.

Food is very good, they have a good variety of items on the menu. The night we went we had some starters (a bit disappointing in size but all in all nice), and a meat course (excellent quality and cooking). Desserts looked nice but were rather normal.

Now the bad parts. The place is small so if there are groups coming in (like the night when we were there) it tends to get quite noisy. Prices are too on the high side considering that the place is almost in the suburbs. Yes food is good but "that" good.

All in all a nice place, good for a romantic or casual dinner with above average...
