10/10 experience ! We stumbled upon this restaurant by complete accident! After being turned away from another restaurant (full), I remember walking by this trattoria and thinking it looked local/authentic. We decided to come here and was very pleasantly surprised. Domenico, the owner, was very kind and his passion for food was very clear. He took his time explaining the menu, and provided his recommendations that were unique to Florence. The staff, Jessica and Alexandra were great as well! Super kind and friendly. We ordered - the Crostini Toscani with chicken liver and pate - Carpaccio crudi (raw beef carpaccio with rucola salad and parmasean flakes) - Fresh tuscan pasta with garlic, olive oil and chili, with burata cream with special toasted crumbs - Ganzi's fresh pasta with beef meat sauce, porcini mushrooms, and parmasean flakes - Sliced grilled steak of beef with roasted potatoes - Dessert: Tiramisu and Chocolate flan with dark chocolate sauce. Desserts are all made in house!! Also- a major plus is the ability to reserve a table online. Not something you see often in Florence. Would 100% come back!!

Happiness in the form of a Trattoria! This is (a little) off the beaten path - not much, just enough off to one side that you normally wouldn't stumble upon it if you weren't heading to the Buonarotti Museum (go. worth it. go. and be sure to go upstairs - that's where all the good stuff is). If you missed it, it would be a shame, 'cos this is good, honest tuscan fare - served in a convivial atmosphere. You'll find plenty of locals, and equally as many non-locals - which is OK, sharing is caring after all! The interesting part of the menu is that there is about as much seafood as there is non, and the seafood is, without exception, excellent. Add in an excellent wine list, even more excellent house wines (just get half a litre of the house-wine - red/white/frizzante - it'll go perfectly with whatever you're having) FWIW, we liked the place so much, we went back a second time for our last dinner here - not wanting to leave Firenze on a down note. And yes, we weren't disappointed 🤗

What a nice experience! We were becoming a bit peckish after walking for hours around Firenze and wanted to find a nice restaurant outside more touristy area. When we visited this trattoria there was some construction work being done to the next building, so we almost skipped because it was a bit hard to access it with our toddler’s stroller. We arrived right at the opening time and had no reservation. Luckily there was a table reserved for later so a friendly waiter seated us and explained what daily specials were. We ordered three dishes and all were delicious, one of best meals we had while in Firenze. The restaurant itself in much bigger than it looks from the outside. Staff is very friendly and genuine, food and wine selection is great. Prices are very reasonable. All in all a great experience, I would highly recommend this trattoria.

We didn't even eat here because of the absolutely horrible staff experience we had on arriving at the time of our reservation. For the man who met us at the door, don't take your problems out on your potneial customers!!!!!!! Would not recommend to anyone and glad to have found a lovely restaurant to eat with friendly service down the street.

Updated review based on the restaurant feedback below.

I posted this review out of respect for myself and people considering this restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to me by family and I was so excited to eat there and the menu looked super but I was treated horribly at the door, shouted at due to the frustration of the man who wasn't ready to receive people at the time they had booked for and he shouted late late five minutes late. I had no interest in eating in a place where people are treated so badly and walked away shaken. I have eaten on every continent and have never had an experience like this.

I have also provided this feedback to The Fork who I booked the reservation through and I will under no circumstances delete this review as you have continued to treat me badly. Any CCTV footage will confirm what I've said so there's no point in the restaurant denying this. I use Google reviews to see what places are like in advance of booking so I want people to see this. I rarely make a negative review which you can check but when service is awful people...

Completely amazing restaurant in the heart of Florence. It was so great that we went back twice in 2 days. Price is variable depending on what and how much you order but for a shared bottle of wine, two appetizers, a shared pasta and two meat courses it came out to around $100 CAD.

Highly recommend making a reservation. Each night we watched people get turned away due to restaurant being booked up. Easily done on the restaurant website.

The service was more than decent, particularly by general Florence standards. We were recommended a good wine and despite the bustle were not rushed out the door.

The real star attraction is the food. In the many meals I've had in Italy the two meals here go down as signature Tuscan taste. The crostini with liver pate was warm, smooth and rich. I ordered it twice. The onion flan was proclaimed by my partner as a very nostalgic and delicious taste. He ordered it twice, too.

The bistecca is perfection with the best potatoes I've had period. Paparadelle was the kind of pasta you dream about when you leave. Beef stew was hearty and had a home cooked taste. The risotto with fresh truffles was creamy without mushy. House pasta just amazing with lamb meat sauce. Everything was perfectly portioned.

I would go back in a heart beat and, despite all the wonderful restaurants in town I could spend...
