The server forcefully takes your phone and writes the reviews. The atmosphere was very poor the water sprinklers were very annoying and disguisting to eat while they spray you and your food. We were on a hurry and ordered some pasta and a pizza along with two glasses of wine. We didn't know much about wine so we asked the server if it is okay to just order two glasses of the wine he recommended and he said ofcourse. After we finished our food we kindly asked for the bill as we were on a tour break and the waiter kept delaying bringing the bill until we reviewed the restaurant and compliment him on the review. Then came the bill.. They charged us the whole bottle for just the two glasses and they said that the wine we ordered (which was the one he reccomended and said is olay to just order 2 glasses) you can only order the whole bottle. After confronting the waiter about it he said that he need to speak with his manager so we waited another 20 minutes for the manager tl arrive. Meanwhile the waiter insisted we payed the whole bottle and he would give it to us on the go. Which obviously was something we didn't want. Once the manager arrived he started speaking italian with a very mean and intimidating demenor. He said we had to pay the whole bottle but after a bit of discussion and explanation from our side he decided to charged us a "fair price" for the two glasses we had. We lost so much time in that place we almost lost our bus, the whole interaction was very awkward and unconfortable and i hope that the staff of this place learn how to communicate better with their customers and not just eagerly wait for you to pay and give them a 5 star review for the bare minimum...
Read moreBisteccheria Santa Croce in Italy was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had — a place that feels like the beating heart of Tuscan cuisine tucked just off the lively streets near the Santa Croce basilica. From the moment we walked in, the rich aroma of grilled meats, garlic, and fresh rosemary wrapped around us like a warm welcome. The interior had that perfect blend of rustic charm and relaxed elegance — stone walls, soft lighting, and that unmistakable hum of good conversation and clinking glasses. The star of the show, of course, was the bistecca alla fiorentina: a thick, juicy, perfectly seared steak with a rich, smoky crust and a pink, buttery center that practically melted in your mouth — it was an unforgettable celebration of flavor and tradition. But what truly elevated the night was our incredible waiter, Taco. He wasn’t just attentive — he made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. With his infectious energy, spot-on recommendations, and warm hospitality, Taco turned what could have been just a good meal into something absolutely special. I honestly can’t express how much I loved his vibe; he felt more like an old friend than a server. Dining at Bisteccheria Santa Croce wasn’t just about food — it was about joy, connection, and the kind of night you...
Read moreWe had a really enjoyable dinner at Bisteccheria Santa Croce. From the moment we arrived, our server Mateo set the tone—warm, attentive, and eager to help us navigate the menu. The selection is impressive, offering everything from creative pastas and pizzas to a standout section devoted to traditional Tuscan steaks. For our party of four, we sampled a variety of starters and mains, and while each dish was excellent, the real highlight was the T-bone steak (for two), cooked in the classic Florentine style—perfectly done, flavorful, and unforgettable. The restaurant also boasts a wonderful wine list, with a thoughtful mix of local, regional, and other Italian selections that pair beautifully with the menu. The ambience felt at once casual yet elegant, and the staff’s knowledge and passion for their offerings shone through. In line with other reviews I’ve read, the steak truly lives up to the restaurant’s reputation for “exceptional” bistecca alla Fiorentina. All told, this was a dinner I’d happily recommend to anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Florentine...
