Vestri — Local services in Florence

They have so much chocolate here! There's no sitting area here, so take note that it's more of a grab and go location, whether packed chocolates or their hot chocolate in a cup.

Unlike the more commercial Venchi or Stratti, this feels a little more nonna-style, more local. The location probably also gave it away that they're not as centrally located. Price points are reasonable, like everyone else.

That said, it's one of those spots that in my humble opinion, is worth while dropping by if you're in the area, but not something that I'd intentionally go out of...

I took a friend to this shop to buy gifts to take back to Australia. To my great displeasure he wrote me the following - "Just wanted to let you know to BEWARE of Vvestri Chocolates the Artisan Chocolate Shop at the end of Borgo Pinti where I bought the 12 little packets of chocolate for gifts back here. They are all old, discoloured, stale chocolate fit only for the bin. Nothing I can do about is other than warn you not to shop there !!!" This shop has the best gelato in town! My wife and I have tried other recommended places around town and even in Fiesole and none can compare.
