Dolcesalato — Restaurant in Florence

My wife, myself, and our infant son came to this cafe while on a trip to Florence. I thought we could grab a coffee on our way out of town. Instead, my wife was berated in Italian (which she does not speak) by the owner for not ordering anything and taking a seat at a table which she took because she had been carrying our son. In turn, I offered for us to stand at the bar -and drink the coffee I paid for. That was still not good enough for the owner - he apparently had to pay for the lights to stay on and for each coffee cup that he served - or so he continued to say from the other side of the counter. Apparently it’s not enough to buy a coffee to support his business. The other members of staff were nothing short of polite and clearly embarrassed by their boss. Steer clear of this place and go somewhere that appreciates...

This morning my sister and I wanted to buy 2 sandwiches. We ordered 2 sandwiches with tomato and cheese. The sandwich given to us had salami in it (we are vegeterian), so the man who took our order delivered our order incorrectly. We realized halfway through and went back and said he gave it wrong, then the guy yelled at us like it was our fault. We apologized in vain. Even though we came from a foreign country, he treated us very badly. I request that what is necessary be done. The man was old, had white hair and was tall. I don't know his name. also the sandwich wasn’t that good. He started to speak to himself something in İtalian about us. This was disrespectfull so i told him i’m going to give this...

Not tourist friendly, one male employee was very arrogant and said "cazzo" when we clearly said we were tourists and did not understand Italian, I suspect we were discriminated against. The table was dirty, the employee didn't clear the table and wouldn't let two people who bought a bottle of water sit in it at the same time (even though we were looking at the menu and ready to order coffee), he yelled insults at us and told us to get out. If Italy has such a rule (you have to order two coffees to sit in a bar, I hope they put a sign on the door). Highly not...
