For our first time in Florence, we didn’t know where to go for Florentine steak. Everywhere needed reservations, all the popular restaurants. We met a local on an air bnb experience and she recommended this place 10/10. Walking to the restaurant, it’s definitely not in the touristy areas but very cute spot! We were sat right away. They said their menus are only in Italian but if they would explain everything. They did. Everyone working there seemed like relatives so it was nice seeing that! And everyone that came in or left, they had good relationships with them. So you can tell locals come often! Between the 3 of us, we ordered 3 pasta dishes, 3 sodas and the Florentine steak. Our waiter suggested on the kilos to order since we were ordering pasta. And he also asked how we wanted it cooked. (We had heard some restaurants refuse to cook it any other way than the Florentine way) so we just told him, however Florentine steak is meant to be eaten, we’ll take it that way. He was very excited and surprised haha first of all, the bread they served was SO GOOD. we had bread at other restaurants that they automatically put out for you and those didn't compare to this bread. I already knew, if this bread is good, everything else is going to be good! The entire restaurants is clean. Immaculate. I noticed a family next to us had left, the family used a high chair. And after they left, a worker came by to clean everything and she even cleaned the high chair with a VERY GOOD disinfectant. I don’t know about you but we don’t see that often in the states haha When using their restroom, it smelled like bleach (which i love) and it was SO CLEAN. Very good sign. Then our food came out. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Homemade. All the pastas ordered were DELICIOUS. Then the steak came out. Oh my goodness. I usually eat my steaks medium rare. But when traveling, I’m always down to try something new. Let me tell you, this Florentine steak was AMAZING. I kept thinking about it after leaving. Hoping to stop by this restaurant again to have more but we didn’t have time! They do take reservations as well. And the price isn’t bad at all! For 3 pastas. 3 sodas. 1.1kg of Florentine steak and potatoes, $170 USD. C’mon, between 3 people!? This would easily be two people in the states (depending where you go, obvi) for the type of dining we had. 10/10 definitely recommend this place! (Pictured is the steak and...

Oh. My. Gosh. I ate here in July after looking up the closest steakhouse to the Hotel Arizona (which my wife and I were staying at) and could not have been more pleased. This delightful place was off the beaten path but well known by the locals, which I think is always a good sign. We had heard that the Florentine Steak was to die for, and after that meal we thought we went straight to Heaven! Half a dozen of the most tender rare steaks we had ever feasted on came out on a platter, along with tomatoes, potatoes, and mushrooms, surrounding what looked like half a cow in the center. We struggled to finish it, particularly after the flavorful antipasti and primos we ate. When we politely declined dessert, the kind gentleman serving us insisted on bringing us tasty slivers of pie with crushed pistachios, and then ended our feast with complimentary shots of a liquor made from 5 fragrant herbs or spices. This was easily the most enjoyable meal we had during our week-long...

Absolutely stunning. We’ve eaten here 3 times and plan our 4th time for tomorrow. First night we requested a cheese board and they provided us 3 delicious cheeses with homemade apricot jam and bread. I had “steak for 1” my partner had homemade pasta ,both delicious. The menu is in Italian so I’d recommend downloading google Lens translate before, but staff are helpful also. We also ate the main of duck, beef cheek - delicious!! Pasta menu split into two - bottom part is all home made pasta. We recommend the one with the sausage. relaxed dining. Fast service. Delicious simple food. A lovely walk from the centre around 10/15 minutes if you don’t mind walking for good food. Prosecco and local wine are gorgeous, cheaper than anything in town...

Amazing food and very friendly service! After falling prey to tourist traps in Rome, it was such a relief to find a delicious and authentic place for dinner! The server explained everything to us and made good recommendations. We had the chicken liver and burrata crosini for apps, and the burrata was amazing, while the chicken liver crosini was good, but not as much. We also got the filet mingon, which was literally the best steak I've ever had anywhere!! Highly recommend! For drinks we had the house white wine and Aperol spritz, both delicious. For dessert, we got the chcolate flan, which turned out to be lava cake, which was also super tasty. I would come back here next time I'm in Florence!

The pasta is homemade. The risotto was very special and tasty. When they offered tiramisu for dessert, I said it's over-rated as an Italian dessert, and the mama told me hers was very special..... and it was! At the end, the Grappa, gold colored because it was in an oak cask, was the smoothest my wife Michele and I ever tasted. We met the family! What wonderful people! The father, Domenico and his wife Gianna, with their daughter Giada and their son Matteo! Grazie mille for one of the best meals I've had in Italy! We're coming back with friends from the USA tomorrow night! Buon apetitto a tutti! Luciano and Michele
