Wild Buns Bakery (take away) — Restaurant in Florence

Let's just put it out there: Wild Buns is one of the most deliciously dangerous places in all of Florence. It's a neighborhood gem that is, luckily for me, in my neighborhood, so it's become a bit of an addiction (and dangerous only for my waistline and budget!). I have an unofficial life goal of trying everything on the menu, and I'm getting close, so I feel like a quasi-Wild Buns expert. Although my photos show savory items like their breakfast burger (yum), egg and bacon bun (yum), and salmon, dill and avocado sandwich (YUM x1000), don't get it twisted: My major weakness is their sweets. They have the most pillowy, fresh, heaven-in-a-bite pastries, from their traditional cinnamon rolls, cardamom buns, and banana bread to my absolute FAVORITE - the blueberry and apple cobbler buns. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely unbelievable. Get their sourdough--you just have to. Their beverages are great, too, from coffee to juices and so much more. The staff is lovely, even in the middle of a rush, because this place is always hopping (rightfully so--if you know, you know)! They are helpful, patient, and very kind, which makes this a top spot. The conversation you hear when you visit is usually filled with people talking about how delicious their food is. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. 10/5. Every single time. Its the BEST bakery and pastry maker in Florence. A gem we would need to invent if it wasn’t already real. Everything is carefully made and served. Fresh ingredients, elegant service, nice location. I assume that anyone who gave a low rating hasn’t really go to this place. I have been living in the area for about 30 years and honestly dreamt of such a bakery. I am just worried about it changing location because of so many clients that the place has become a bit small. I hope it will remain here, because it is a plus for the neighborhood and a joy for me to reach it in 3 minutes. Aggirandosi tra il dedalo di viuzze in zona S.Spirito si arriva a questo piccolo panificio in cui vengono servite specialità scandinave. Appena entrati si rimane colpiti dai vari prodotti in esposizione e dal loro profumo; è possibile acquistare varie specialità di panificati sia dolci che salati. Guardando poi il laboratorio a vista proprio oltre il bancone, si rimane ipnotizzati dal personale intento ad infornare e sfornare continuamente; sembra di assistere ad una armoniosa coreografia. Ho acquistato un Brunch Bun al Bacon, un Apple Crumble Bun, un Sockerkringlor ed un Salted Caramel Bun; tutti i Bun devo dire che erano soffici e leggerissimi, per quanto grossi non si fa nessuna fatica a divorarli!😅 Il Brunch Bun mi è piaciuto molto al primo morso ma ancor di più quando sono arrivato al suo cuore, con all'interno gustoso uovo. Mangiando l'Apple Crumble Bun, con quella leggera nota di cannella, sembra di dare un morso al "Natale"; in genere non amo questa spezia se non perfettamente calibrata e qui la utilizzano con gran maestria, creando un perfetto equilibrio. Buono anche il Sockerkringlor, dolce tipico svedese, con il suo lieve sentore di vaniglia; la perfezione nella semplicità. Ho lasciato il pezzo forte per ultimo, il Salted Caramel Bun, che ha fatto strabuzzare gli occhi a chi lo ha assaggiato; giudicato come il più buono ad unisono. Sicuramente tornerò per assaggiare altre specialità viste sulla loro pagina internet, di cui alcune stagionali o legate a festività, come il Krambullar o il Semlor. I prezzi possono sembrare un po' alti, avendo speso in totale 18 € per 4 pezzi, ma viste le dimensioni e la qualità dei prodotti si può considerare un costo adeguato. Sarebbe molto carino anche fermarsi per fare colazione, con ad esempio il loro invitante Matcha Latte, ma visti i pochi posti a sedere, se non erro solo 4, ed il grande afflusso di clienti penso non sia facile trovare un...
