TA' carne braceria 1968 — Restaurant in Gallipoli

I don’t recommend this place.

We originally wanted the Tomahawk, but unfortunately, it was sold out. The staff recommended the Scottona steak instead (1kg, 3 pers). When the meat arrived, it looked very unappetizing, and as soon as we cut into it, we realized it was raw inside—even though we had ordered it medium-well.

They took the steak back to cook it further, but when it was returned to us, it had been cut into uneven pieces. Some parts were completely dried out, while the larger pieces were still undercooked.

It was also disappointing that the staff seemed inattentive—we had to make a real effort to get anyone’s attention. They ended up deducting €17 from the bill, but instead of apologizing, they questioned us about why we were unhappy. It should have been obvious, considering how much of the steak we had to leave uneaten.

Amazing grilled meat and great vibes – thanks to Stefano!

During our holiday in Gallipoli, we had the pleasure of dining at TA’ Carne Braceria 1968 – a true gem for meat lovers! A special thank you goes to Stefano, the incredibly friendly and passionate grill master who prepared a fantastic grilled meat platter for two just for us.

We were lucky enough to capture him in action – the fire, the energy, the focus – it was amazing! (We even took a great video of him while he was grilling, which became a highlight of our evening.)

The meat was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Stefano truly made the experience memorable – with both his skill and his great personality.

Siamo stati più di una volta in questo fantastico locale consigliato da amici, e vi dirò che tutti coloro che hanno l’onere di capitare a Gallipoli.., non possono non andare almeno una volta e vi spiego anche il perché: il posto è bellissimo situato a Gallipoli vecchia centro dove si trova dell’ottima carne fresca con la loro macelleria a disposizione, personale gentile disponibile e soprattutto professionale dove sono loro che ti sanno consigliare tutto quello che si desidera per il proprio palato.., con il titolare che ti cuoce la carne alla brace a vista che solo gli odori e tanta roba.., abbiamo preso delle grigliate di carne mista con le loro specialità serviti su tagliere di legno che sono arrivate a tavola fumanti, alette di pollo fritte che non vi dico si mangiano da soli contorni di verdure alla griglia favolose è l’unico rancore personalmente che ho e quello che non ho potuto assaggiare tutto il menù dato che sono poi dovuto ripartire dalle vacanze.., oltre tutto che ti portino il conto non solo ti vengono incontro che ti trattano bene .. ma ti offrono il digestivo, andate da loro che come essere a casa perché ti fanno sentire tale un privilegiato e nonostante che abbiano mangiato tanto dato le porzioni abbondanti, non ce l’abbiamo fatta a finire tutto, e ti offrono anche il servizio che volendo quello che rimane te lo danno da portare via.., potrei stare a scrivere tanto altro ma lascio a voi la curiosità di scoprire fino in fondo il vero gusto del palato della vera carne alla brave 🤩 🔝❤️ ps. Di uno abbraccio a tutti e uno arrivederci presto a tutto il personale, ma in particolare il titolare perché dato che il mondo è piccolo noi ci siamo ritrovati dato che abbiamo fatto i ragazzini assieme dove abbiamo condiviso esperienze belle e anche meno belle ma che comunque ci sono servite ad essere quello che oggi siamo e cioè persone più rare che uniche con un cuore infinito, mi ha deliziato dalla sua ospitalità e ci siamo accomodati e tuffati nei bei vecchi ricordi, il tempo in quel momento sembrava essersi fermato è stata una esperienza bellissima. Ti auguro tutto il meglio nella vita amico mio perché i sacrifici che hai fatto non è da tutti e il karma è generoso di ripagarti e ne so qualcosa.
