Groove Burger — Restaurant in Genoa

Visited Groove last night after reading some strong reviews online. We had a good time but it wasn't quite as i expected for someone who reviews burgers all over the world. The burger was a bit all bun and not much burger. The bread was nice and fresh but seemed way out of proportion with the sides which are supposed to be the star of the show. The patty was was nice but in my opinion, not big enough and the other toppings were underwhelming on both of our burgers. I would love to see them load up more on the inside of the burger and reduce the bun thickness. The fries were really nice and we also ordered the whisky glazed carrots which were something a bit different although maybe a bit too sweet. They have a great selection of craft beers and wine but don't serve other drinks such as spirits etc. Overall we had a nice evening but in my opinion, there are some creative ideas but the execution needs a little bit of refinement to be in competition with many other world class burger places in...

Very cozy place and very friendly waiters. They speak decent English, which is not trivial in this region. Also, reservation can be made online using TheFork. Food was very good and reasonably priced.

I recommend having a look at the special on the menu. Unfortunately the online menu is Italian, but ask a waiter and they are happy to explain the specials. We had the 'MAJIN BU' burger special which is great if you like crunchy.

Only downside I found in terms of food was a slightly dry patty which was also too small (but the rest of the burger made up for it!) and slightly underdone fries (for my taste), but the seasoning on the homemade fries...

Sono stato a pranzo in questo ristorante di carne e hamburger cucina tipica statunitense ubicato in pieno centro storico a Genova in un palazzo del 500 con tavoli interni in due sale interne ed snche diversi all’aperto con vista sulla via. Il ristorante è conosciuto per la sua vadta scelta di hambugers tagliate insalate patatine e per quanto riguarda i dolci hanno brownies e cheesecakes. Tavoli ben apparecchiati con un cestino con ketchup e maionese. Io mi sono seduto in un tavolo interno ed ho ordinato un Groove Burger al piatto senza pane con tartare di manzo di fassona avvolto da un trito di pancetta, ciuffi di songino fresco, pomodoro, formaggio cremoso con scalogno e salsa chipotle, maionese con lime, soia e pepe e poi ho preso un Saiad Days con colorata misticanza di insalata con cavolo viola e pomodorini. Sia hamburger sia insalata squisiti abbondanti deliziosi. Personale accigliente competente cordiale e disponibile ed il servizio attentissimo e veloce e prezzi giusti.

I had lunch at this typical American meat and hamburger restaurant located in the historic center of Genoa in a 16th century building with internal tables in two internal rooms and also several outside overlooking the street. The restaurant is known for its wide selection of hamburgers, salads, chips and for desserts they have brownies and cheesecakes. Well-set tables with a basket with ketchup and mayonnaise. I sat at an internal table and ordered a Groove Burger on a plate without bread with Fassona beef tartare wrapped in chopped bacon, tufts of fresh lamb's lettuce, tomato, cream cheese with shallots and chipotle sauce, mayonnaise with lime, soy and pepper and then I took a Saiad Days with colorful mixed salad with purple cabbage and cherry tomatoes.
