Stellar. Really enjoyed this place. A little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. I was here with my partner so I've tried a total of 7 different plates (desserts included), and there wasn't a single thing I disliked. I often tend to find combinations or small details in foods that just don't fit together, but not here. The menu changes everyday, so big kudos to the staff for keeping up with such a wide variety of foods! And water refills are free! Con mia moglie e mio fratello ed altre coppie di amici siamo stati a cena per festeggiare il compleanno di un nostro carissimo amico in questo ristorante ubicato in pieno centro storico a Genova a circa 100 metri da Via XXV Aprile. Ci siamo seduti in un tavoli interno e ci sono divese sale interne grandi e anche piccole riservate e con qualche tavolo anche all’aperto con vista sulla salita. Abbiamo tutti scelto un menu degustazione. Come antipasti abbiamo optato per diversi uova croccante alla carbonara e gamberi mandorlati alle 3 maionesi ed unax artara di mango, zabaione salato, crumble di aglio nero. Primi taglierini ai crostacei poi risotto Acquarello Zucca fondo e tartufo nero poi tortello cacio pepe “dentro e fuori”crudo di salsiccia di Bra. With my wife and my brother and other couples of friends we had dinner to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend of ours in this restaurant located in the historic center of Genoa, about 100 meters from Via XXV Aprile. We sat at an internal table and there are several large and small internal rooms reserved and with some tables also outdoors overlooking the climb. We all chose a tasting menu. As appetizers we opted for several crunchy eggs carbonara and almond prawns with 3 mayonnaise and a mango artara, salted zabaglione, black garlic crumble. First tagliatelle with shellfish then Acquarello risotto with pumpkin, stock and black truffle then tortello with cacio pepe “inside and outside” with raw Bra sausage. Second courses: mixed fried seafood, then stuffed boned rabbit and its spinach base, then veal with tuna sauce Cbt. We were so looking forward to eating here! Unfortunately the food completely disappointed us.. we had the crispy egg as a starter, it was not crispy at all and was totally under seasoned and the truffle didn’t taste or smell like truffle at all. Then we had the ravioli with pumpkin and truffle, it was too salty, and again the truffle was not having any taste and we also tried the paccheri with pistachio and shrimp that was completely full of cream and just really heavy and underwhelming.
