Osteria Pandemonio — Restaurant in Genoa

We are here twice. It was wonderful food. First we tried the 10E menu of main, wine and coffee just right for lunch and had a very satisfying meal of pasta with local wine. The young woman who served us was lovely. Because of our first experience went back and this time had the 25E menu ( wine not included) again lovely experience. Seafood spaghetti and superb triofe with truffles were wolfed down as were the mains of sea bream and medallions of pork cooked local style. This was finished with a delicious pannacotta and way too much sweet salami - but my partner made a good attempt at it before admitting defeat. Good local food that compared well to the much more expensive place we had earlier eaten at. Same...

It was a very bad experience. We were three and we ordered the menu of 25€. The first course took 45 mins to arrive, then the second 45 mins too ( and asked for the dessert as well so we wouldn’t be late) and the whole process at this restaurant took us almost 2 hours for two dishes+ desert ! I realized that the problem is that the restaurant is that it is understaffed and that’s why it took so long. Furthermore, when we had to pay the bill after all this time, we clearly complained about it ( in a nice way) and they didn’t even do anything but say sorry. They could at least have offered the bottle of water ( which was just 2€) as an apology but it was merely words. We paid in total 90€. I don’t recommend...

Mi fa piacere vedere recensioni a 4-5 stelle, sia per il lavoro che va sempre premiato, sia per i clienti che saranno stati contenti e soddisfatti. Per bilanciare abbasso un pò la mia recensione che potremmo mettere a 2 stelle, faticherei veramente ad andare oltre. Altra precisazione sul voto: probalimente molte, moltissime delle trattorie in centro a Genova presentano questo livello di rapporto qualità / prezzo, considerato l'afflusso massiccio di turisti da tutte le parti del mondo, quindi ok voto basso qui e probabilmente molti altri ristoranti in zona sono allo stesso livello. Purtroppo avevo poco tempo e trovare un posto "dove vanno i locali" non è stato possibile; certo qualcosina di meglio, spendendo 81 euro in due ce lo si potrebbe aspettare. Velocemente: servizio e accoglienza molto scarsi, al telefono propongono un tavolo "col passaggio" poi al mio rifiuto salta subito fuori un altro tavolo, arrivo e non sanno della prenotazione...e ci dicono che molti tavoli sono liberi...e vabbhè iniziamo bene! Tavolino che non ci sta sopra un piatto quasi ...microscopico...non si ci può cenare da soli figuriamoci in due, personale sbrigativo e poco interessato ad illustrare il menù del resto..., prendo della carne presentata con parole altisonanti ..aggettivi ect...arrivano degli straccetti di non so quale carne....non certo la fassona di cui si "cantava" nel menù....anche il pesce...ordinato era un pescetto...senza alcuna qualità...insalata ordinata arriva in una ciotolina alta e stretta...diciamo che la quantità era veramente "ligure", il vino ordiniamo un mezzo litro (di qualità diciamo) e nel conto leggo 24 euro? diciamo che abbiamo pagato come la bottiglia direi. Un tortino al cioccolato come dessert 9 euro...attesa 20 minuti perchè ci è stato detto "viene scaldato al momento"....ho il sospetto che fosse surgelato...certo piacevole ma non è un dolce ben preparato nel senso che arrivano tre cose sullo stesso piatto ma separate...tortino, pallina di gelato e pallina di crema...ecco un dolce con poco "lavoro" dentro.
